Architecture: Voltn Share runs as an overlay on your existing storage — SharePoint, Google Drive or a file server. Files are neither migrated nor stored: Voltn Share acts as a pass-through, and transferred files are purged after 30 days. Rollout takes days.

Functions: send files by link or email, receive files from external parties and collect documents through deposit requests. No file size limit. Every exchange is logged, giving IT and security teams a single view of what leaves and enters the organisation.

Identity and licensing: external recipients are never provisioned in your directory and consume no licence, so there are no guest accounts to manage in your tenant.

Security controls and integrations: password protection, expiry dates, SMS verification, download receipts, one-time download links and a full audit log. Native integration with Outlook and Microsoft Teams. Brand customisation.
