Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Netmon overview
What is Netmon?
Netmon is a multi-tenant network monitoring and security platform built for managed service providers, managed security service providers and IT service companies. It consolidates network monitoring, vulnerability scanning, remote access and client reporting functions into a unified interface. The solution addresses the operational challenge of tool sprawl by replacing disparate applications with a single platform designed to maintain strict separation of client environments.
The system deploys one agent per client site and performs continuous auto discovery of network connected devices including workstations, servers, printers, cameras and internet of things devices. The monitoring engine tracks real time availability status, latency metrics and packet loss statistics across discovered assets with dashboard updates occurring every thirty seconds. Vulnerability scanning cross references detected devices and services against the national common vulnerabilities and exposures database and known exploit catalogues to identify risky configurations and exposed services. Rogue device detection establishes a baseline for each network profile and flags unfamiliar devices upon appearance with a trust workflow for authorized additions.
An integrated ticketing system automatically generates alerts when device performance degrades or anomalies occur. The remote access feature enables technicians to connect directly to managed endpoints from within the dashboard without requiring separate licensing or additional software installations. A risk acknowledgement workflow allows service providers to document known vulnerabilities with mandatory notation, creating a clear audit trail for compliance and decision records.
A reporting engine produces branded client ready PDF security reports in plain language that translate technical scan data into business comprehensible documentation for client reviews. Technicians may execute common scripts on both Windows and Linux devices directly from the main dashboard interface. The platform operates as a software as a service solution with a licensing model that encompasses all monitoring, scanning, access and reporting capabilities under a single agreement.
