NotchLive is a macOS application that provides real time captioning and translation through on-device speech-to-text transcription. The application captures both system audio and microphone input using macOS ScreenCaptureKit and converts speech to text with Whisper AI models deployed via CoreML. Captions appear in the MacBook notch or in a top-center bar on models without a notch to maintain sightline consistency. The synchronous operation of tiny, small, medium, large, and large turbo models allows users to balance transcription speed and accuracy without interruption.

The Pro edition adds live translation into twenty languages by leveraging Apple Translation. Session recording preserves raw transcripts with export options for TXT, Markdown, and JSON.
