Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

OctaneIQ overview
What is OctaneIQ?
OctaneIQ is a cloud-hosted operations platform for fuel distribution and convenience retail. It consolidates the order-to-delivery loop and the store back office onto a single location-aware, role-based data model, so distributors, jobbers, and c-store operators run the whole operation without stitching together point tools.
Architecture and data model
OctaneIQ is a web application on a PostgreSQL backend, accessed in the browser on desktop and mobile — no client install and no on-premise server to maintain. Every record carries location and role context, so access, reporting, and workflow routing all derive from the same model instead of being configured module by module. A frontline employee is scoped to their site and their tasks, a regional manager sees and compares every site, and the office sees the whole operation. Adding a location or a person does not mean reconfiguring each module in turn.
Distribution functions
Fuel order management — order entry, scheduling, status tracking, and customer communication.
Dispatch — delivery scheduling, driver assignment, load tracking, and day-to-day trucking operations.
Customer fuel pricing — segment- and customer-level pricing, distributed automatically to your customer base.
CRM — accounts, contacts, opportunities, task automation, and pipeline visibility for the fuel desk.
Customer portals — branded self-service access to pricing, orders, loads, and account information.
Work orders — raise, assign, and track to resolution with shared status across the operation.
Retail functions
C-store management — daily checklists, task assignment, and compliance audits across locations.
Scorecards — cross-location metric comparison and ranking.
Reporting and dashboards — consolidated sales, time clock, and operational data.
Maintenance — preventative scheduling and asset task assignment.
Employee training — assignable plans, safety protocols, and compliance document control.
Safety management — incident and near-miss capture with a retained, auditable record.
Back office
Expense management — requests, approval routing, and enforceable budgets by location.
Custom reporting — consolidation of data across the systems you already run into a single view.
Access control
Authorization is role-based and location-scoped: every record carries that context, so users see only the sites and records their role permits. This is the same model that drives reporting, which means permissions and visibility cannot drift apart.
Integrations and extensibility
OctaneIQ is built to run alongside the systems you already own rather than replace them — most notably your accounting package, which OctaneIQ deliberately is not. Integrations with existing systems, and custom modules for workflows specific to your operation, are scoped and built directly by our in-house product and development team rather than routed through a partner network or a reseller.
Deployment and licensing
Implementations are measured in weeks rather than quarters. The platform is modular — you enable the modules you need and add more as the operation grows — and licensing is per store or operation-wide, never per seat, so user count never constrains rollout. Product management, engineering, implementation, and support are all in-house in the United States.
