OmniDICOM overview
What is OmniDICOM?
OmniDICOM is a DICOM viewer and metadata editor that runs as a desktop application on Apple silicon Macs and 64-bit Windows, built for medical imaging research and teaching. Studies stay on your computer: OmniDICOM opens folders, discs and multi-frame files locally and sends studies only where you choose over PACS or DICOMweb.
Viewing covers side-by-side series comparison with synchronized navigation, cine playback for angiography and other multi-frame runs, axial, coronal and sagittal MPR, MIP and 3D volume rendering with a scalpel, DSA mask subtraction and PET/CT fusion overlays. You can measure distances, angles and regions, search and edit DICOM tags across a series, and export DICOM, images, movies and STL surface models.
The Professional plan adds Denoise for CT series, which estimates the noise in each slice and removes it on your own computer (on a Mac, macOS 14 or later) without uploading images or changing the DICOM files; Process, chains of up to eight filters with typed values and presets; and Analyze, with ROI statistics, histograms, profiles, time-intensity curves and CSV export.
