OpalSpan overview
What is OpalSpan?
OpalSpan is AI-driven device support from Ready IT ApS for technicians, computer repair shops and internal IT teams. In the web app, technicians choose a device, describe the task and authorize what Mech, the built-in AI technician, may do.
Windows and Linux are tested and supported; macOS is a technical preview, in active development. Mech investigates, carries out authorized software work, checks the result and keeps findings and notes together. A Case is optional. Teams inspect the work from a desktop, tablet or phone.
Persistent enrollment supports ongoing access; attended Rescue provides a temporary first-contact route. Devices use an outbound HTTPS relay. Teams may instead let their own AI assistant operate OpalSpan Agent CLI; humans do not use the CLI, and the assistant's account and usage stay separate.
OpalSpan is self-service software, not screen sharing or a full PSA/RMM. Physical work and out-of-scope decisions remain with the technician.
