Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Pdfnative overview
What is Pdfnative?
Pdfnative is a zero dependency PDF generation library for TypeScript and JavaScript applications requiring ISO compliant archival support, advanced Unicode handling and integrated security capabilities. It was originally developed within a multi language financial statement application and later open sourced to address enterprise document creation needs without external dependencies. The library is designed to facilitate strict compliance with archival standards, flexible content composition and extensible integration workflows.
The library provides compliance with PDF one point seven, PDF slash A one b, PDF slash A two b, PDF slash A two u and PDF slash A three b archival standards as well as PDF slash UA tagged accessibility. It supports twenty two Unicode scripts with full bidirectional text rendering and OpenType shaping for complex scripts. Security features include AES one twenty eight and AES two fifty six encryption with granular permission controls and CMS slash PKCS seven digital signatures supporting RSA and ECDSA P two fifty six algorithms with one call placeholder injection. Content composition is managed through a dozen block types including tables, images, vector graphics, barcodes, scalable vector graphics, interactive form fields, tables of contents, watermarks and hyperlinks. Table features include automatic text wrapping, alternating row styling, captions and adaptive column fitting.
The ecosystem includes companion packages for diverse integration scenarios. The command line interface offers commands for JSON to PDF rendering, digital signing, document inspection, signature verification, batch processing and shell completion generation. The model context protocol server provides a suite of tools accessible from AI driven clients via a single npx command. The React integration includes a custom reconciler that converts JSX component trees into PDF structures with components for document metadata, pages, headings, text, lists, tables, images, links, barcodes, scalable vector graphics, form fields and tables of contents. Rendering functions include byte array output, blob output, stream output and file output with live preview hooks for interactive workflows.
Pdfnative is delivered as a tree shakeable ECMAScript module with strict unidirectional dependency flow and no circular imports. Modules can be tested independently and all PDF generation occurs within the local execution context across Node, browser, Web Worker, Deno or Bun environments without telemetry or network connectivity. The project includes a comprehensive test suite with high coverage and provenance attestation to support supply chain verification.
