Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

PhotoBridge overview
What is PhotoBridge?
PhotoBridge is software for migrating Google Photos libraries to cloud storage platforms including Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, iDrive e2, OneDrive, Dropbox, and other S3-compatible services such as Wasabi, Storj, and MinIO. It automates the full export workflow: Google Takeout opens with photos pre-selected, the user connects a destination, and PhotoBridge handles the transfer directly between services with no manual downloading, unzipping, or re-uploading.
Google Takeout separates photo metadata into sidecar JSON files, leaving exported images with incorrect creation dates and missing location data. PhotoBridge reads these sidecars during transfer and writes the original timestamps and GPS coordinates back into each file, so photo timelines remain intact at the destination. Duplicate files are detected and skipped, including across repeat migrations, so re-running a transfer only moves new photos and avoids wasted storage.
PhotoBridge operates a zero-retention model. Photos stream between the source and the user's own storage; nothing is kept on PhotoBridge servers, temporary working copies are deleted after each transfer, and data is encrypted in transit. Destination accounts are connected via each platform's standard authorization flow, and access can be revoked at any time.
Every migration produces a report showing total files and size transferred, the date range covered, integrity checks, and a random spot-check of photos at the destination for visual verification. A dashboard tracks each migration in real time with live progress, transfer speed, and photo counts, and email notifications confirm when each backup completes. Migrations run in the background, so nothing needs to stay open on the user's machine.
