Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Private.Ki overview
What is Private.Ki?
Private.Ki is a web-based encrypted communication platform that unifies email, messenger, and group chat in a single system. All messages, attachments, and metadata are encrypted on the user's device using PGP and AES-GCM before transmission. Private keys are generated in the browser at sign-up and never leave the user's device. Incoming encrypted messages receive double-layer PGP protection. Encrypted metadata covers sender identity, recipient identity, and message timing. The service maintains no identifying logs, requires no phone number or identity verification, and supports anonymous sign-up alongside full VPN and Tor compatibility. Android and iOS apps are in development; a Business plan with custom domains and shared encrypted spaces is forthcoming.
Private.Ki targets individual users, journalists, activists, families, and organizations that require strong privacy protections by default rather than as an optional configuration. The encrypted messenger supports passphrase-protected device-side keys, encrypted attachments, and multi-device sync with traffic-pattern obfuscation to reduce behavioral inference from encrypted traffic. External contacts can join encrypted chats via an invite link without creating an account, using the Chat Request feature. Built-in tools include a password generator and a PGP key generator. Core email and messenger functionality is available at no cost to all users, with no company size restriction on access.
