ScopeGen overview
What is ScopeGen?
ScopeGen turns architectural plan sets into itemized scopes of work for residential design-build firms, custom home builders, and remodeling contractors. Plans come in as PDFs from a computer, Google Drive, Dropbox, or a shared link, and ScopeGen reads each sheet to build a scope organized by trade. Every scope item notes the plan pages it draws from, and its quantities, units, and costs can be edited. Costs can come from the builder's own unit costs and labor rates or from regional defaults. Before bidding, the builder can review the assumptions ScopeGen flagged against the plans and site conditions. Contingency, overhead, margin or markup, and tax are set per project or saved as company defaults. Scopes download as PDF or CSV, copy as text, or go out through a share link, and a cost workbook in Excel format stays with the team. Projects keep scope versions, and teammates share one account.
