Skarn overview
What is Skarn?
Skarn is a security scanner for the AI coding-assistant session logs on a developer's machine, a surface git secret scanners never read. It covers Claude Code, Cursor, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, Kimi Code CLI, Grok Build, Grok Bot, Antigravity and OpenCode from one static binary, reading each tool's own on-disk session store. Its engine applies 248 rules (155 community secret patterns, 93 AI-specific) and correlates attack chains linking a prompt injection to a secret read to an exfiltration attempt. Findings are crosswalked to MITRE ATLAS, OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications 2025 and CWE, emitted as SARIF 2.1.0, and risk-scored 0-100 for CI gating. Secrets are always shown redacted, never in full. A pre-execution guard hook for eight of those assistants refuses a leaked credential before the tool call runs. No network call by default. Free tier available; paid tiers add policy-as-code and a tamper-evident audit log.
