Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

SlackBridge overview
What is SlackBridge?
SlackBridge is a bidirectional messaging integration platform that connects Slack workspaces with Microsoft Teams channels and enables real time communication between users on both platforms without requiring migration or platform switching. The solution is designed for digital agencies, consultancies, managed service providers, IT support teams, and software vendors that operate primarily in Slack and collaborate with enterprise clients or partners on Microsoft Teams. SlackBridge bridges cross platform communication by establishing channel connections that allow messages, files, and reactions to flow between Slack and Teams environments while preserving native conversation histories.
The platform provides bidirectional synchronization that relays messages in real time using webhook driven architecture rather than polling mechanisms. Messages sent in Slack appear in the mapped Teams channel and replies from Teams users return to Slack within seconds. Support for threaded replies ensures that a reply in a Slack thread arrives as a reply on the corresponding Teams message and vice versa, maintaining conversation context across platforms for threads up to seven days old. Mention functionality allows tagging of teammates by name in bridged channels and triggers real notifications on the opposite platform, although this feature is not available in private or shared Teams channels. SlackBridge translates reactions between platforms by converting Teams reactions into native Slack reactions while representing Slack reactions as messages in Teams due to API limitations.
File transfers are copied between platforms in transit without storage on SlackBridge servers, and images pasted into Teams messages arrive in Slack as native attachments. Message formatting is preserved by translating bold text, italics, lists, links, and code blocks between Slack markdown and Teams message formats. Administrators define which Slack channels link to which Teams channels and configure each connection for bidirectional or one way messaging based on workflow requirements. A single Slack workspace may connect to multiple Teams organizations simultaneously with separate channel mappings for each client.
SlackBridge offers two integration methods with distinct permission requirements to accommodate varying IT policies. Core Bridging requires manual bot installation and limited Microsoft permissions while the full integration method automates bot deployment and channel creation with additional permissions. On the Slack side, the platform requests bot scopes to manage channels, messages, reactions, and file transfers. Authentication relies on OAuth and the Microsoft Graph API with encrypted connections and ephemeral metadata retention for thread synchronization. End users continue to message within their native platforms and clients approve access through administrator consent. Conversation history remains in Slack and Teams for audit and compliance within existing enterprise systems.
