Sunsetless EWS overview
What is Sunsetless EWS?
Sunsetless EWS lets .NET applications built on Microsoft's EWS Managed API keep working with Exchange Online after EWS is switched off. The library replaces the Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices NuGet package and keeps the same namespace, types and methods, so existing code compiles unchanged and its calls go to Microsoft Graph.
It runs inside your application and uses your own Entra app registration, so mail goes straight between your app and Microsoft 365. Mailboxes still on Exchange Server on premises keep using EWS through the same code. Each supported operation is compared field by field with recorded EWS responses, and the compatibility page lists the differences. Works on .NET Framework and modern .NET.
