Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Tabular overview
What is Tabular?
Tabular is an on-premises Microsoft Excel add-in that covers the complete Solvency II (EIOPA/EEA) and Solvency UK (BoE/PRA) regulatory reporting lifecycle across Pillars 1, 2, and 3. Delivered as a serverless, self-contained embedded database behind a familiar spreadsheet interface, it requires no cloud infrastructure, no external databases, and no third-party hosting. Installation is completed in under 30 minutes with no complex system requirements or external dependencies. Used by 150+ firms across the EEA and UK, Tabular serves insurance companies (Life and Non-Life), pension funds, asset managers, actuarial firms, and consultancies of all sizes reporting to regulators including EIOPA, the PRA, CBI, MFSA, and GFSC.
Core functionality spans standard formula SCR calculations across all modules and sub-modules, risk margin calculation with selectable EIOPA-approved methods, ORSA projection and scenario modelling with full version control, QRT population for solo and group reporting, XBRL generation with embedded taxonomy validations, and one-click group consolidation for group-level submission templates. A configurable no-code ETL layer accepts XML, CSV, Excel, XBRL, and custom data structures, with field mapping, data type transformation, conditional logic, and pre-import validations. Narrative reporting synchronises the quantitative database with Microsoft Word in real time, while a graphical workflow engine manages tasks, dependencies, and deadlines via Microsoft Outlook integration.
Governance and security are addressed through a full audit log of all user actions, role-based access controls with separation of duties, and configurable permissions per QRT and workflow stage. All data remains on-premises and encrypted at rest, with configuration files, audit logs, and outputs digitally signed. The development and release process is ISO 27001 certified. A built-in regulatory hub provides cell-by-cell context-sensitive reference material covering EIOPA and BoE directives, delegated acts, ITS, guidance, and Q&As. Regulatory taxonomy and template updates are applied by end users in under one minute with no IT involvement or downtime. A single annual license covers unlimited users, support, and updates with no per-user fees.
