TextBolt overview
What is TextBolt?
TextBolt is an email to SMS service: if a system or person can send an email, it can send a text. Every phone number gets its own email address at sendemailtotext.com that turns any email into an SMS, and replies come back to the sender's inbox as a threaded email.
Teams use it two ways. First, texting from the inbox: send appointment reminders, booking confirmations and customer follow-ups from Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail or Thunderbird, with two-way replies arriving as email. Second, SMS alerts from any system that sends email: monitoring tools such as Datadog, Grafana and PagerDuty, alarm panels, IoT sensors and web forms. TextBolt also replaces the AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon email to text gateways that are shutting down.
The Standard plan and up add bulk SMS to contact groups and multi-user access. TextBolt is a verified A2P 10DLC business sender, and setup needs no SDK and no code changes.
