Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Updog overview
What is Updog?
Updog is a client-side data import and spreadsheet editing library developed for web developers working across React, Vue, Angular, Svelte and vanilla JavaScript frameworks. The platform processes CSV, Excel, JSON, TSV and XML files entirely within the browser environment to ensure that imported data never leaves the user’s device. The toolset integrates seamlessly into web applications to support data-intensive workflows without requiring server-side ingestion or third-party processing.
The import workflow includes automatic column mapping based on fuzzy matching and configurable synonyms combined with optional callbacks for machine learning or server-assisted resolution. Value mapping functionality normalizes imported values against expected domain options such as status codes, country names and boolean flags and guides users through inline resolution of ambiguous entries. Primary key selection enables upsert operations by identifying unique fields to update existing records instead of appending duplicate entries.
Data editing capabilities include inline cell editing with typed controls for text, numeric values, date pickers and dropdown lists tailored to each schema field. Bulk transformation functions support split, merge and trim operations at scale while spreadsheet-style formulas recalculate column data in real time. The interface supports find and replace operations, case-sensitive matching, locale-aware sorting and column-based filters incorporating range and list selections. Scale is achieved through canvas rendering, virtual scrolling and web-worker-based filtering to handle datasets exceeding one million rows while managing memory within the browser.
Multi-source merging allows multiple files to populate a unified grid with individual source tracking and toggling. Dynamic column creation supports on-the-fly schema extension. Validation features include built-in and custom rules, cross-field checks and inline error flagging. Display formatters present human-readable values while preserving raw data for processing. Input transformers normalize data on entry through parsing, trimming and format conversion. The platform architecture accommodates developer-supplied language models and prompts to enable AI-assisted column matching and natural language-driven data transformations. Accessibility features include ARIA roles, live regions and full keyboard navigation and internationalization support covers string overrides and right-to-left layouts. Clean export options include CSV, XLSX, TSV, JSON and XML formats. The distributed package is available as a first-class React component and a Web Component for integration with other frameworks.
