Virto Shared Calendar overview

What is Virto Shared Calendar?

Virto Shared Calendar gives a team or a project one calendar that everyone can see. Add it as a tab to a Microsoft Teams channel on desktop or mobile, open it in the browser as a web app, or open it in Outlook. Teams plan shifts, PTO and vacations, deadlines and events in one place, apart from personal calendars.

Events carry tags and colors: tag an entry as a shift, PTO, a deadline or a meeting and give each tag its own color, so the schedule reads at a glance. The Categories panel filters the view by tag. iCal and ICS feeds, such as public holidays by country or another web calendar, can be added next to the team's own events; they are read-only and do not count toward the free plan. The calendar offers day, week, month, quarter and year views, supports recurring events and time zones, and can be printed or saved as an iCal file.

Permissions are set per calendar. A calendar can be private to its owner, open to the whole organization, or restricted so that owners and members edit events and everyone else only views them. To work with people outside the organization, publish the calendar and share its link with view-only or edit access: people who get the link need no Microsoft account and no login. Calendars can also be shared with other Microsoft 365 organizations.

The free plan covers up to 15 entries in each calendar, with unlimited calendars and no time limit. Paid plans remove the limit: $19 per creator or editor per year, or $99 per year for unlimited entries and users. People who only view a calendar need no license. The app interface is in English, and calendar data is stored on Microsoft Azure by VirtoSoftware.
