Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Ximilar overview
What is Ximilar?
Ximilar is an enterprise grade image recognition and visual search platform that automates image processing workflows using artificial intelligence and computer vision technologies. The platform delivers ready to use solutions, custom model development, and a no-code computer vision environment for building proprietary models. It supports industries such as fashion, home decor, stock photography, collectibles trading, real estate, medical imaging, biotechnology, and manufacturing. Ximilar is designed for organizations managing extensive visual catalogs or specialized collectibles like trading cards, stamps, coins, and comic books.
The ready to use solutions encompass fashion tagging for apparel, footwear, and jewelry, home decor recognition for furniture and design elements, multilingual stock photo tagging, and collectibles identification covering trading card games, sports cards, banknotes, stamps, and more than one million comic book titles. Visual search features include product recommendation engines, reverse image lookup, duplicate detection, background removal, and image upscaling. Underlying capabilities leverage convolutional neural networks for image classification, regression, object detection, and feature extraction. The no-code platform enables dataset upload, team-based annotation, model training, deployment without programming, and sequential orchestration of pre-trained and custom models. Processing times range from five to one hundred milliseconds per image, with asynchronous handling, cached serving to eliminate delays, and support for collections exceeding one hundred million items. Supported image formats include jpg, jpeg, png, webp, heic, bmp, tiff, and jfif.
Integration is achieved through a RESTful API accessible via Python, PHP, cURL, or any HTTP client. A dedicated Python client library and comprehensive API documentation facilitate implementation. Authentication uses token-based authorization, and images are submitted as base sixty-four-encoded strings or via URL references. The API returns JSON responses containing recognition outcomes, confidence scores, bounding coordinates, tags, and similarity rankings. Workspace level compliance controls enable administrators to define access rights and security policies. Both synchronous and asynchronous request modes are available. Visual search collections synchronize through data exports, extract descriptive metadata, and immediately discard original images to minimize storage.
The infrastructure operates on cloud servers with a primary data center in Prague and secure dataset storage on Amazon S3 using time-limited access links. The platform complies with European data protection regulations, including GDPR, and holds multiple ISO certifications. On-premises deployment options are available for organizations requiring dedicated infrastructure. A credit based subscription model with tiered monthly plans accommodates varying processing volumes and allows for additional credits during peak demand. A free trial tier and a consumption estimator tool support initial evaluation and planning.
