EVA is a platform for data analysis that uses natural language processing. The user only needs to ask a question in English to execute a query on the database. Thus, no prior knowledge of SQL is required. The query results are presented on a dashboard, which EVA automatically generates.

Since no prior programming knowledge is required, nor is any extensive training needed, anyone can perform a query on the database. The search terms are entered in English, and the platform converts the query into an SQL query to search through the linked databases. The platform generates a BI dashboard to present the data in various ways. Analysis filters make it possible to refine the resulting selection. For example, users can quickly see the products that contribute the most to their sales revenue or view the customers with the most sales in a particular region. Users can select an area to view the data in more detail within the dashboard. Charts can be customized by, for example, choosing different variables for the X and Y axes or changing the colors and the title.

EVA can also be installed on-premise and uses structured data, such as data from relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.), along with .csv, .tsv, newline delimited JSON, and Avro files. Integrations are achieved via a REST API.
