- SAP BI is a gamechanger tool for any organization. SAP BI is suitable for the organizations using SAP ERP system as it is very easy to integrate - SAP BI is recommended for medium and large enterprises.
SAP BI is a very dynamic and user friendly tool. SAP BI helps in developing data queries and analyze data. SAP BI save lots of time and efforts while creating reports. The best features in SAP BI are: - Automating and scheduling reports - Real time data synchronization
Although SAP BI is very powerful tool and easy to integrate with the SAP ERP system but have following limitations: - Sometimes real time data synchronization takes time that leads to difference in actual and reporting figures - Training and understanding of SAP BI takes time and efforts

Wonderful for a large healthcare setting. The product is scalable to the system, region, facility, and patient level, and the security features ensure that PMI is never inappropriately exposed.
It’s expensive. This product isn’t like Power BI or even SPSS in terms of buying an enterprise license or a few licenses for a hundred thousand and covering the organization. Be ready to pay for the features you’re getting with SAP.

The speed and ease of using SAP BI in c comfortable format (we use the Excel Inrerface)
Sometime a pre-existing BI report does blow up and it leaves the report without a connection to BI. Report has to be recreated - no recovery.

a solid BI system, I had the maximum control of the data
Probably the most complete BI software, it interfaces with any database. it's cloud based so I can access it from anywhere, it's mobile/tablet friendly, it works also in real time. Excellent tool to create static reports and send them by email. Easy to visualize the source data (useful to create data clouds), low maintenance because the system is stable
it would be nice if the graphic presentations were more animated, more interactive. IT COSTS TOO MUCH (it is not recommended for SME). it requires expensive hardware (powerful machines), it requires a technical figure to update the software (and the procedure can last even a whole day). the end user must be trained with a short session

Well worth the price, in terms of ROI for any organization with BI needs.
Very powerful business intelligence engine behind the scenes, allowing for multi-dimensional querying. This allowed our business to gather deep insights that would have been hard to materialize manually.
Error messages are often hard to decipher, in terms of actionable next steps to resolve. Some better instructions during error cases would go a long way.

I am using SAP business objects at my current position for report creation and adjacent data queries and for simple data dumps
It's easy to use, the cost is less as compared to tableau or other BI products in the market and customer care is good.
You need to maintain universe layer to talk to the database, it does not talk to databases directly. If you have to add a new field in the report from the database then you have to add that particular field in universe layer which is added headache. If you have to create a report by using data from multiple data sources then you have to create detail variable, which is again a mess!!! Also, visualization wise it is pathetic because I have checked tableau. Usually, I use excel to do my visualization and presentation because it's better than business objects Also, you cannot use it for predictive analysis.

One of the best tools from SAP BusinessObjects BI is a suite of front-end applications that allow business users to view, sort and analyze business intelligence data for all integration and reporting management within the diversified organizations. Best features include Dashboards -- Allows us to create interactive dashboards that contain charts and graphs for visualizing data and reports. Web Intelligence -- Provides a self-service environment for creating ad-hoc queries and analysis of data both online and offline. Integration with an outlook for easy extraction and transformation of reports into excel. Good usage fro Business Explorer (BEx) Suite (BEx Analyzer, BEx Web reporting). Highly formatted layout (print focused) Parameterized / dynamic layout Self Service / Freeform Layout Hierarchical awareness Dashboarding & visualization Interoperability.
Fast, robust and compatible with third party integrations. Scheduling Event: This event is used to run reports or any BI objects sequentially one after the other.
Development seems bit deep dig process which takes a long time for customizations

I do rely on this software quite a bit to extract my information.
Sap BI warehouse is great to pull out data required for processing and analysing. It allows you to filter and cut information before it is exported.
It can be a bit clunky to use and slow at times. It is an old piece of software however there are faster alternatives.

If you have experience working on SAP BI/BW, then you will find this tool easy to use in the first go. It creates charts based on DataSources like Infocubes.
Although, this is a very user friendly tool, it offers a limited range of chart types like Bar Chart, Column Chart, Pie Chart etc. As compared to other leading reporting tools in the market, this tool lacks in offering Global Map charts, Histogram etc.

The set of tools for BI it includes is good. We used just WEBI. It is really powerful for Data extraction purposes and we could match our information needs without much problems.
I feel that the WEBI interface is not very user friendly. At least for our type of reports. The navigation through the different reports was not smooth enough.

We use SAP BusinessObjects in order to track both operational and strategic company KPI's. The dashboards are very easy to customize. BI tool is very helpful in order to make forecasts.
Data export is not offered. Dashboards are really helpful. But sometimes user can need to export the data in excel form.

I have been using SAP BI for almost 2 years now and I am satisfied with how it houses a massive amount of data with security guaranteed. However, it can improve a lot more in terms of scalability, system, and processing.
What I like most about SAP BI is that it is able to store a massive amount of data, allows use of several measures/facts and market breaks, and is very secure as I know our data is always safe and protected.
What I like least, however, would be that system processing is quite slow (takes a lot of time loading data), user interface is not too friendly/appealing/easy to navigate, and the tool is quite rigid in that it does not allow for much customization

SAP is one of the most acepeted BI tools in the market, its suite are design for all company sizes, so it can handle your organization grows, SAP BO allows to connect to a multiple data sources and connect to a different integration points like sharepoint, java, etc.
First of all, this toll is quite expensive, small and medium companies are not capable to spend a lot of money acquiring it and continue paying for supporting cost. Another think I dislike about SAP BO is it require a number of servers so this increment the amount of the spend.

The ease to build or edit the universe and publish to users help business people to use this BI reporting tool conveniently. The dashboards are simple to build with some amount of training.Hence as a self service reporting tool this is popular to business users in the industry

I have been using SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence for my data analysis needs for the past few years. While the setup process is complicated and can be expensive, I have found the software to be incredibly powerful and feature-rich. With its intuitive user interface and customizable dashboards, it has made analyzing data and uncovering new insights easier than ever.
SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence is an incredibly comprehensive and feature-rich BI solution. It provides users with an array of tools for data analysis, reporting, and visualization, making it easy to identify trends and insights from data. The software also offers customizable dashboards and intuitive user interface, allowing users to quickly and easily access the data they need.
While SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence is a great tool for data analysis, it can be expensive and difficult to set up. Additionally, it requires a significant amount of technical knowledge in order to get the most out of the software.

My experience has been that this is a pain to administer and support. Documentation is not great, and now there are a bunch of access levels and nobody really explains what is needed. They used to make it seem like the free version worked well, but we're finding that it does not.
PowerBi seems like it has a lot of capabilities to accomplish Business Intelligence.
I don't like how hard it is to get data from AWS into PowerBI and I also dislike that if you want to have real time data you seem to need to install SQL Server on-prem. This is frustrating

Business Intelligence software that is included in our existing Microsoft Office licensing package.
Intuitive for people who have already been utilizing any variety of Microsoft's other products. They are adding features and functionality to Power BI at such a rapid pace that it won't be long before Power BI is better than all of the alternatives.
Missing a small number of features. Can run into some bugs/glitches because it is still fairly new to the BI tools market.

What I like the most about Power Bi is that is designed with excel users in mind, so it's easy to start creating reports without knowing too much about the program. Also, it allows you to connect to a significant amount of different type of sources.
I don't have much to say here because my experience has been very good. One of the cons could be that data transformation is expected to be structured, there are no such thing as manually
