I like the familiar interface and how easy it is to set up a branded email address matching my domain.

With it's many apps and platform that can be accessed on any device, it makes working from anywhere seamless. I definitely recommend this app for other companies or organizations. For the basic use, it's a plug and play approach. Easy to manage. Comprehensive tools which get better each day. Great and responsive support. Third party integrations and add-ons. High quality mail server. Created perfectly for team collaboration. Would say it's truly a must have for a business for standardised email use and document / tool collaboration.

Cons

Slow load times at points for tools like Sheets, Docs and Slides. Quite complex if you want more advanced functionality and some things aren't intuitive (i.e. Google's approach to less-secure apps which have Outlook there as well). Slow and out-dated admin panel.

We use it daily in cooperation with our Office 365 to make sure we always have what we need.

Pros

Okay, many people and businesses use G Suite already - but many of them do not. So when you roll into a business meeting to close on a potential client - it's fun to pull out all of the stops - grab your files out of thin air - and sync your phone - tablet - and laptop right there in front of the potential client. If they use G Suite - then they expect you to have your stuff together... but if they've never used it - then it makes you look like a pro. Besides that - it's dirt cheap and it makes sure you or your team are never without important files on the go!

A bit of a learning curve for those that have never used Google Docs - but the really we have no complaints.

I use G Suite and prefer Google Documents over Microsoft products.

Pros

I like that you can easily open attachments from an email using Google Docs rather than being forced to download them. I also like that everything is saved in real time and it's easy for multiple colleagues to work inside of the same document simultaneously. Finally, I enoy the third party apps and extensions that you can utilize in conjunction with Google docs.

Cons

I dislike how difficult it is to keep formatting consistent when opening Microsoft documents inside of Google Docs. I wish there were more keyboard shortcuts, or at least more tutorials, to help users with some of the same functionalities within Microsoft documents.

Pros

It's free if you have a Gmail account, and included if you have G-Suite account.

Cons

Local usage(in the case of internet outage) is almost non-existent. I work in an area that experiences outages occasionally. In some edge cases it is not a full replacement for MS Office. Extremely large spreadsheets seem to suffer but if you are using a spreadsheet large enough to cause issues, you may need to be using a different format anyway.

Well, Google Docs is free, always a plus. There is a guide so it's pretty easy to get going straight away. You can share in various ways with various people as admin etc. Nice look to it and a perfect compliment to the rest of the Google Suite with various extras available. Saves well and easy to rename, change etc. Helpful tips.

Cons

Slight learning curve but really that's about it really. Also, can't work on it via mobile and I believe you have to be online for it to work.

Using the whole G Suite environment makes it even better.

Pros

Google Docs is a great tool for collaboration, you can edit the same document with several people at the same time and all changes can be seen in real-time with no delay. You cannot go back after trying this. The other features are pretty similar to other solutions on the market -- but Google Docs is free.

Cons

If you come from a MS Word background, it requires some getting used to. Some features don't work exactly the same and everything is cloud-based.

We love Google Docs!

The pricing for this product is free with our G suite compared to paying over $200 for a Microsoft Office license for one employee.

Pros

Our company loves using Google Docs! The number one thing people love is the auto save feature. I don't know how many times an employee has forgot to save their work with other products like Microsoft Office! We also love how easy it is to share and upload documents through our company, as well as having different options for privacy settings.

Cons

Difficulty sharing documents with users who do not have a google domain.

Google Docs works ok, it needs to have easier functionality in saving documents to certain folders.

Again, the ability to save to the cloud, having the entire G-Suite connected is great for my company.

Pros

I like that you can save to the cloud, collaborate, and keep everything in one place for my very small company.

Cons

Saving to the cloud is nice. I wonder about the security and ability to segment the users on our shared work folders. I also dont really like there are formatting differences between google docs versions and the Microsoft versions and it screws up templating.

Almost exactly like word, but even friendlier to use.

Ease of having the document on the cloud. Real time changes and updates when sharing a document with team members. Ability to use read only feature when sharing with people outside of our organization.

Pros

It is very similar to word, but offers less features (because most people don't use all the features word has to offer), and a more streamlined approach to creating text documents.

Cons

Occasionally when converting to a word document to share with someone not in a G-suite organization, the file does not come across correctly.

Docs Keeps Workfront Working

It integrates well with the entire G Suite, and when the entire team is using the Suite, things get done.

Pros

Well, it's cloud based, so its easy to use everywhere. I use it to grab docs for people on the road, and can collaborate with others at the same time.

Cons

I cant use it offline. When im on a flight, it can be annoying not sycning in real time, but it auto syncs when I get off and reconnect, so thats nice. I also don't love the formatting tools.

Love a Google Docs! So easy to use.

Can't go wrong with a drop dead simple way like Docs or any of the Google G Suite products.

Pros

Can't go wrong with a great software that you can use for free and for pretty much free at work. Love the features as they have caught up to Word and made it easy to share docs online with others and collaborate.

Cons

Nothing much by way of cons. I wish that sometimes some of the features I'm used to in Word were a but more intuitive.

Make the Switch to Docs

Will never go back to Office since this is so easy and comes with our G suite package.

Pros

Moved over to docs years ago when we move our email to gmail and never have looked back.

Cons

Nothing. I love everything about it, from the backups, to getting stored in the cloud. Never have had an issue.

Cons

The editor has approximately 80% of the features that Microsoft Office has to offer. It requires a constant Internet connection, unless you have the files downloaded.

Auto-Save option it's perfect for old users. -Look and feel it is perfect for Microsoft Word users, most important options are available.

Cons

-Need add-on for advanced features, making difficult for non-IT users to explode 100% potential on Google Docs. -Google Docs integration with other products sometimes fails because some option is not available on the web version. -Mobile app needs all the options available on the website.

Another easy to use and cost effective solution for small business and Nonprofits.

Team collaboration on documents is a major plus and for nonprofits this is included with the G- suite plan that you can get for free for your Nonprofit.

Pros

The ease of use of Google Docs makes it a great option for quick adoption throughout your staff. The benefit of Google Docs is the ecosystem it is a part of allowing for seamless access of critical information. It also allows for opening of the document on chrome which is an added bonus.

Cons

This is a very basic word processing application and the functionality is thin. But overall there is nothing negative to say about it as long as you take it for what it is in its basic form and function.
