Pros

Love it, love it love it. As a small business, it has al of the tools we need to run and operate our business.
My overall experience with Google Workspace has been great. There are so many useful tools within it and it is perfect for a business owner.
A really great place to work out of, ease of use is 10/10, and just really a workplace's best friend.

Pros

Quick synching and the ability to organise folders and sub-folders is great. Overall, a decent program and certainly useful for small businesses such as myself.
What I like best about this software is its ease of use and integration with Microsoft products and services.
This allow my team members files to be in its own "space" and this was a good thing. This was what I liked about the OneDrive but.

Cons

For example, inserting code into a google doc is sometimes ugly and extremely inconvenient. I imagine there are other similar specialized use cases that should be added.
We did run into occasional glitches and bugs, especially where access permissions are concerned, which can be a problem.
At times when files are imported from external apps such as Microsoft 360 for example there are loss of formatting and data types which is inconvenient.

Cons

OneDrive has changed in 2021 and this change has brought about headache for all. No syncing because the OneDrive is locked and awaiting action by users who has no idea as to what is wrong.
Where do I begin, it constant instability, it is very hard to use use, sharing process and access permission are coming from hell and the version control is simply sadistic.
The most problem I have as a user is the sync problem, sometimes it gets stuck and you have to restart your computer.

Regularly use Google Sheets, Docs and Drive for work with a couple companies I do business with.

Reviewed 6 years ago

I am able to communicate and collaborate in essentially real time with my employers.

Pros

The collaborative element of sheets and docs is unmatched in the market for word processing and spreadsheets. Google Drive is better than OneDrive.

Cons

The visual and functionality of the actual software though is getting better but still lagging behind Microsoft's offerings...they are like the "light version". Formatting cells and creating a good looking printable version is still more difficult in Sheets than in Excel. Docs doesn't support formatting variations well...but then again, neither does Word.

Google Workspace - 7+ years in

Reviewed 2 years ago

Overall, it's a great product but that pricing has gotten very high over the years and the lock-in to the ecosystem is very high.

Pros

The platform is incredibly scalable and resilient with minimal outages in 7+ years, with flexible licensing.

Cons

The software puts Google branding everywhere which is a bit much and should offer more white-labelling options as OneDrive, Box, Dropbox, et al. do

Best bet for new business.

Reviewed 2 years ago

when we were a growing company this was a Goto choice, but for the serious player, I recommend office 365.

Pros

lack of any software and the ease of deployment.

Cons

No physical software like office 365, The file share feature is less compared to OneDrive and finally, the plethora of software we get from Microsoft is much better than this.

Access anywhere and seamless collaboration? Okay!

Reviewed 6 years ago

If you're okay with slightly fewer features, it's way better than OneDrive and office 365. Google Drive is my favourite in cloud storage, and it's a lot of seamless software, integrations for a minimal cost. And if your a nonprofit? Even better because it's free!

Pros

I've had almost NO issues with syncing, and I've used files on my phone, tablet, laptop, work computer and it's been seamless. Also, using Gmail for my work email is a pleasure. It's fast and easy to use, and also integrates well with other programs like Hubspot and Asana. This is an essential for me as a startup.

Cons

One issue I ran into recently was having 2 domains, you can't actually send calendar invites from a domain alias, but this might be an uncommon need. Also at times Google sheets is a little limiting when you're used to the advanced filters and settings of Excel.

It just works!

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

I've never had a synch issue, saving issue, sharing issue ... in fact with G Suite we've had no issues whatsoever (DropBox and OneDrive, on the other hand, have been nightmares to use). I use both a company account and a personal account, and even the free/personal account is amazing.

Cons

I'm not a huge fan of the spreadsheet mode, probably because I'm used to spending inordinate amounts of time in Excel. I wish there were more features and it was more intuitive, but that's really just a personal preference.

Lots of great features, but one of the most importants doesn't work fine

Reviewed 2 years ago

We use GMail and Calendar as our primary communication platform for all our accounts, and we're happy with both. We used to use Drive for file sharing, but now we are switching to OneDrive because their files and folders synchronization is more reliable. Also, sometimes we use Documents, Spreadsheets and YouTube and all of the works nice.

Pros

I've been using Google Workspace for more than 15 year now, since it was free. I love how it integrates all the ecosystem of applications to make the daily office labor a lot more intuitive and straight forward.

Cons

One of the applications that I use more often is Drive, because all the time my clients send me multimedia files (images, audios and videos), with changes between revisions and approval. Sadly, since a time to now, the real time synchronization of folders in Drive doesn't work at all. No matter the platform or the device, it synchronizes some files, but don't another ones. Sometimes it duplicates some random file, o even doesn't show a file in a given device, but in the others. It's a real mess.

The best Office 365 Alternative

Reviewed 2 years ago

Google Workspace is a powerful and comprehensive suite of collaboration and productivity tools. It offers a wide range of features and integrations and can be valuable for teams looking to improve their collaboration and productivity. However, it may require a learning curve and be more expensive than other options. In my opinion, Office 365 is a better option with more storage on Onedrive and offline apps.

Pros

One of the major benefits of Google Workspace is its integration with other Google products, such as Google Search and Google Maps. This makes it easy for teams to access and share information, as well as to collaborate on projects across different platforms. Additionally, Google Workspace offers a wide range of tools and features that can help teams to improve their productivity and efficiency.

Cons

One of the cons of Google Workspace is that it can be difficult to learn and navigate at first. Some users may find the interface to be overwhelming, and it may take some time to get accustomed to using all of the different tools and features. Additionally, some users may find that the subscription price for Google Workspace is higher than other similar products on the market.

Great if your business isn't MS Office dependent

Reviewed 6 years ago

In general, this is a great solution if your company has somewhat tech savvy employees and aren't confused easily by the difference in OS and cross platform functionality, or if your company isn't MS Office centric. G Suite is glitch free and quite powerful with most of the functionality that Office 365 has with much more intuitiveness in daily use and much cheaper. However, it isn't quite as robust...

Pros

The cost is far better than competitors and everything works together seamlessly as a suite of apps. Even MS Office 365 could learn a few lessons. It is simply more intuitive and easy to start. You can easily get to an actual human unlike OneDrive "support". It syncs better to mobile devices than MS. You don't need an IT department to administer, setup, and use this product. Works as the back-end for Squarespace email, etc.

Cons

It isn't MS Office based, therefore, if you use a lot of MS Office documents, such as Excel, Word, etc., it converts it to Google Docs when using via web. This makes using the Drive storage not quite as user friendly. You can open it in Office directly to keep functionality, but if you are attempting to open it via web like Office 365, it will be Google Docs based. This isn't a huge problem if you...

Easy to use and manage. Many benefits within an affordable package

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

- Affordable: Very very affordable for business at all size. My company is a sole proprietorship, and the cost of the G Suite package is within my range. This package comes with countless features and apps - Ease of Use: Familiar google interface (YouTube, Gmail, Android, ...) - Security: The security options are in-depth and easy to manage - Data Storage: Unlimited data storage. This feature alone beats all the other services (Dropbox, Mediafire, OneDrive) in term of capacity and cost. All of the above came within a package. I can see why Google will easily monopolize this niche market.

Cons

I had to troubleshoot with the customer support team multiple times within the first week of usage. - First time: Cannot login to the additional user account created from the admin account due to two steps verification turned on. - Second time: Could not create a Youtube account with G Suite business. It took them two weeks to figure out the issue. The customer support services reached back to me and shared that because the account trial period did not end yet, therefore I could not create a YouTube account. Very friendly and helpful customer supports though

A great alternative for your company's email

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

G Suite is very easy to use. I have a few clients who use G Suite and I rarely have to troubleshoot problems. You have your choice of domain and you can manage your users from one particular log in (imagine Microsoft Office 365, but a lot less features). G Suite's basic features allow users to check their email and perform basic Office like tasks (mail, documents, calendar, cloud backup). Google Drive is a great alternative to OneDrive. You can manage G Suite on your phone too. I highly recommend G Suite for smaller sized corporations needing a foot in the door without all the technical bells and whistles.

Cons

Even though there are less features than Microsoft Office 365; the lack of options can sometimes be under whelming. Office 365 comes with a robust amount of features. Don't count on the luxury of having all your programs together in one package, which is ideal for large corporations who want the software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint all on one network.

Better than Microsoft Office

Reviewed 4 years ago

All of their products are intuitive. If you know the Microsoft equivalent, then you can use Google tools right away with very little training.

Pros

Every product Microsoft Office has is made redundant by Google Suite, but Google is brighter, less clunky, and more user-friendly than Microsoft. The names of their products make more sense (like how the term Gmail is more understandable than Outlook). The way that you can organize files in Google Drive makes more sense than how it looks in Microsoft's OneDrive/OneNote/SharePoint/Teams/Notebook. Why does Microsoft even need so many different products?! All of Google's products work together really well. I also like how Google saves every version ever made of a file without over crowding your storage. Since they track the individual changes, they don't need to save each version separately.

Cons

I have no cons to Google Drive. I love using it so much that when I moved from one school district that used Google to a district that uses Microsoft Office, I continued with Google because it was better and only uploaded to Office what I was required to.

OneDrive

One of the Best Products for file sharing and collaboration

Reviewed 2 years ago

I am very satisfied with OneDrive and I use it as part of my day to day activities. We are also trying to integrate with some ETL tools like Alteryx to process files.

Pros

One Drive is the most user friendly and easy to use softwares. It can be easily integrated with Teams and with Windows. I am using it on a daily basis and I have created a local copy on my windows machine and it syncs all my files with ease. Being a microsoft product, it also integrates seamlessly with Sharepoint. I also use it to share files across my company. Versioning control is also excellent.

Cons

I think the alert mechanism needs to be a little more sophisticated. The integration should be present with non-Microsoft products as well like Google workspace.

Best thing there is out there!

Reviewed 2 years ago

I have been the account administrator and learned myself from scratch. I transferred the business from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365. It has been rough to say the least, but in the end, worth it.

Pros

I love that I can login from anywhere and all of my files are in the same place. It allows me to save time and be more efficient.

Cons

If you are not taught how to use it, it is super hard. Hard to know what to login to, where to login, where to access....

Great but doesn't beat Google Drive or DropBox

Reviewed 4 years ago

If you are in a large workspace then subscribing to the higher tiers of OneDrive is recommended as for large scale work it definitely beats out competitors like google drive and dropbox. Also, the compatibility with windows makes all the charts and presentations I prepare on my windows machine easily shareable which is time convenient for me.

Pros

1. Easy and pleasing user interface 2. 15 GB of free storage offered is on par with competitors 3. Windows and office compatibility gives it an edge over its competitors. 4. Available on mobile platforms making it dynamically flexible.

Cons

1. Sometimes I have faced large files not getting synced properly. 2. Sharing files with colleagues can be cumbersome and limited at times making it less time effective.

OneDrive Product Review

Reviewed 4 years ago

Maintaining the workspace or data into the cloud and sharing with other teammates so that individual work is not affected and data is shared among the team.

Pros

OneDrive is a cloud-based product. Ease to use and integrate with day-to-day office activities, syncing the data to OneDrive.

Cons

The only Cons about this product is syncing which is hampered sometimes. Data is not synced immediately it will take some time to sync.

OneDrive

A good, integrated solution, but with some drawbacks

Reviewed 5 years ago

It is good if you're working in a purely Windows based workspace with decent machines. Anywhere below that might fall short on usability.

Pros

OneDrive is fully integrated with Microsoft Windows 10, wich by itself makes it compatible with most systems and a good option for integrated networks.

Cons

As some integrated functions in Microsoft Windows 10, it can be kind of clunky and even invasive sometimes, as well as resource intenseful for older machines.

Great for cloud storage and integration with Microsoft products

Reviewed 6 years ago

It provides free reliable cloud storage

Pros

I really like the fact it is integrated into Microsoft products such as OneNote, allowing you to save directly to the cloud from your workspace

Cons

I dislike the fact that I only get 5GB of free cloud storage which is very small in comparison to other storage cloud providers

Multi-devices storage solution

Reviewed 3 years ago

OneDrive keeps a workspace synchronized between a workstation, a laptop, a smartphone and a tablet. It also allows you to choose to synchronize only part of the storage space.

Pros

OneDrive is highly connected to various softwares and devices. It's a great solution to share documents on different devices and to synchronize storage spaces.

Cons

When the available space is reduced, the management of notifications is not optimal and it is sometimes a little complicated to know what will happen: deletion of files, inability to download new files, etc ...

Eccellente archivio cloud se usi solo Windows e non un Mac

Reviewed 3 years ago

Microsoft Finally Gets Its Due

Reviewed 4 years ago

Overall, I would still suggest you try this product out, especially if you're interested in Microsoft 365.

Pros

Well, Microsoft finally got its own file sharing system. About time, and it's pretty good too! My favorite part is that you can get it with a Microsoft 365 subscription. Yes!

Cons

Because this is Microsoft and not Google, it doesn't sync with certain useful Google products, such as Google docs.

Pros

The best thing is that you can have it for (kind of) free if you have an office 365 account and so you don't need to pay for competitor's services. It is also the best companion to ms office and windows with deep integration

Cons

Only 5gb of space unlike the 15gb by Google No alternatives to Google photos Costly compared to Google drive

Does its job pretty good.

Reviewed 5 years ago

For me it has been my friend for quiet a long time. I will stay true to it in the coming days aswell.

Pros

I like the user interface. Its easy to navigate in the one drive App. It takes the backup and keeps my files safe. It feels safe to store files with one drive.

Cons

I mostly use google mail, google chrome, google drive.. so its all google around me.. but only Microsoft app - one drive. I think it should work on its popularity more, as offices are using google drive more and hence we as user are inclined towards google photos and drive more.

Google drive is better than One drive. Free space given is less than Google drive.

I'm quite satisfied with one drive, since they give me big storage to keep my data in cloud

Pros

synchronize feature with my folder in local storage is really useful. I just need to put my file in local one drive and it will be automatically synched to cloud. Also they give generous storage at an affordable price

Cons

the one drive doc is not as good as google doc, its not userfriendly as google doc or google sheet, and sometimes the auto save is not working

Good, but expecting more from the league players

Pros

As onedrive is so long in the market, i can feel it as traditional and authentic brand.

Cons

To compete with google, onedrive should definitely improve more attractive features. As our customers use google for most, we internally use onedrive and for external's we use google drive.
