Pros

It has been an amazing platform for all our educational needs. This is probably the best product that a university or school can invest in especially during this pandemic situation.

Overall MS Teams is a very good software with amazing features and amazing customer support.

Everything is extremely user friendly, with a nice graphical interface and all the other added integrated features are really a nice bonus too.

SE

Shandi E.

Pros

It is a great tool and I have been using it in my project for communicating with team members. It's very effective and sharing screenshots in the chat was awesome too.

The clarity of calls is great, there is a large voicemail quota, and they email you when it is getting full, which is a really nice feature.

AH

Annie H.

Great customer support team, very helpful and reliable. Infact, i like it because it is easy and fast to install and set up.

SD

Steve D.

Cons

When video is being used and when a different background is used and when the person moves it looks very fake and weird.

AJ

Ann J.

It has bad connection when working remotely. With a team of 30 on one call, we were getting every other word in and it made meeting ineffective.

MS

Marissa S.

The most frustrating part is that teams can crash if there are too many people on at once.

SJ

Stephanie J.

Cons

My only criticism is that there are so many places from the charging station, to your actual computer to access the Jabber settings, that sometimes other users seem to get confused.

MA

Merrick A.

My only dislike is no longer having something handheld and physical to use.

DF

Daniel F.

Sometimes the software forgot my username and password, and there is no notification, to reenter the password, and I can not notice, if my colleagues writing to me.

Microsoft Teams is the best collaboration app for chat, calls and all collaboration

Reviewed a year ago

Overall this has been the best application that I have used compared to competitive products like Jabber, webex and Goto meetings

Pros

Best features that stand out is both individual and team collaboration along with meetings and Teams document and file sharing and integration with sharepoint. Screen sharing, Dial in options for meetings, Company directory integration, availability on browser and mobile apps, Integration with Outlook, etc to name a few. Transition from Jabber and Cisco Webex was easy.

Cons

There are a couple of instances where call quality could be bad or choppy. It would be nice to have a screen share option available through multiple devices when connected to a meeting using multiple devices.

Microsoft teams not as user friendly as Cisco Jabber was.

Reviewed 4 years ago

I believe and even asked my ITs team to explore other tools, TO be honest i'm not fascinated by it . ON high level i will not recommend this tool to anyone

Pros

I can see my colleague Contact and other Information insist of going to Outlook, I can send the report via Microsoft Teams, I have the access of my calendar and we can access one NOTe so that we can attach the same in Our Team chat so that everyone can access it .

Cons

Logging takes times.. compare to slack and cisco jabber Download file doesn't allow me to access the folder where it gets download. I didn't find the option to remotely access some one PC which he/she is sharing . they might be option but i didn't find it . If there is option to do that and i'm not able to find then its big concern for any tools.

Sometimes the files does not save correctly but apart from that, i think it is a very good option for online work and education.

Cons

Its a bit slow in comparison to other similar softwares like Zoom or Cisco

MS Teams is essential for any business

We have used Teams for some time and I cannot imagine not having it. So much better than Jabber or Skype.

Pros

We use MS Teams throughout our company. Especially in this pandemic, being able to connect and see one another is critical. Very easy to use. Love being able to share desktops and files quickly.

Cons

Integration with apps isn't the most intuitive. No clue what the commands bar at the top is supposed to do or how it's useful.

New Way To Collab!

Overall I recommend this over the competitor cisco solution that we previously used.

Pros

This product makes it very easy to collab with others and to create conference calls/share my screen. Overall it is much better than the previous solution we used.

Cons

It can tend to slow down my computer a bit and take over my computer which is a bit annoying.

Teams Review

Reviewed a year ago

Overall I would rate it as 4/5 as this sufficed all the blockers that we had during our plan to switch from Jabber to Teams.

Pros

The best part is that it is perfectly integrated with all other Microsoft Office apps that I use in my work. Works very well in a Microsoft-centred environment. Very user-friendly and clean UI. Great video and audio quality.

Cons

Most effective only in a Microsoft-centric environment. The meeting host should have the most control options. I don't see the "export chat" option which should be helpful in case web URL, links are shared on the chat. Takes a little extra time to load for the first time in the morning, when you open it daily.

Using it for all internal communication

Reviewed 3 years ago

This has replaced OneNote as well as Jabber for our team. We all have them on my phones as well so I can get information on the go. This includes my calendar

Pros

I think the chat feature is very useful. I can add N+ people and make one internet call and see/hear everyone. It saves time to be able to upload documents and share them with everyone.

Cons

I don't like that I cannot pop the chat window out to it's own place because every time I need to go find a document I have to re-navigate back to my chat.

Good option for meetings on Windows

Reviewed 2 years ago

Good option, but is a new app and still needs to improve versus Cisco WebEx, Google Meet and the simpler ui of Zoom.

Pros

The audio and video quality were good, I was able to share my audio easily, you can record meetings to keep a back up of what was talked about and is really secure in comparison with Zoom.

Cons

The share audio option is missing on MacOS and Linux only works on Windows, The App is resource intensive consuming a lot of ram and processor, UI could be simpler had some crashes while opening the app in 2 meetings.

A game changer

Reviewed 2 years ago

By Cisco. By email with cc. By email between teamates. By phone call going through of answering phone system. By phone extension list.

Pros

I like the Team philosophy. The ability to regroup communications and files into a same context, to be seen by a set group of people, to divide all this by channel and keep trackability. I can add to a team a monstrous amount of third party app. So I can keep using Team with apps the fills what Teams do not. Sharing screen is a boon.

Cons

Everything as to be on the cloud. I can't use link that point to our own server. We only use it among colleagues. We are not adding team member from outside the company.

Cons

it some time slow to connect and uses too much CPU and memory so, it is slow to load as well.
