Pros

Quick synching and the ability to organise folders and sub-folders is great. Overall, a decent program and certainly useful for small businesses such as myself.
What I like best about this software is its ease of use and integration with Microsoft products and services.
This allow my team members files to be in its own "space" and this was a good thing. This was what I liked about the OneDrive but.

Pros

I like that it is user friendly and cost effective relative to alternatives. Also excellent customer service.
It is an essential service used for mid market m&a. Overall experience has been great, with exceptional customer service and ease of use.
We use firmex internally for our staff in addition we use Firmex to send documents to our customer. Its user friendly and easy to navigate once you have been granted access.

Cons

OneDrive has changed in 2021 and this change has brought about headache for all. No syncing because the OneDrive is locked and awaiting action by users who has no idea as to what is wrong.
Where do I begin, it constant instability, it is very hard to use use, sharing process and access permission are coming from hell and the version control is simply sadistic.
The most problem I have as a user is the sync problem, sometimes it gets stuck and you have to restart your computer.

Cons

UX seems boring and outdated. Cannot set viewing restriction for single file.
Few cons, but select users have had trouble receiving Firmex automated emails due to spam filters.
Had to replicate file uploads each time; no tag to put same file into different folders automatically.

Good for storing and accessing files anywhere

Good for virtual storage of files and documents.

Pros

Able to upload files to the drive instead of directly on to a computer where they risk being lost due to computer damage/theft. Can access files anywhere, edit them, and upload back to the drive.

Cons

Haven't figured out any live editing features, meaning if several people download and modify a document, there could be several versions of it out there.

To store photographs, videos and all types of files, it requires more storage capacity in the cloud.

Reviewed 6 years ago

Storage of all types of files in a virtual platform.

Pros

The ease of being able to store a large amount of information and all kinds of files in a virtual platform, and thus dispose of it at any time by accessing the internet.

Cons

Microsoft as a power company in the global technological development, should consider for the platform OneDrive, the following: 1. The OneDrive application should not exist, because in terms of storage at the moment of installing it on the computer, when the synchronization is done, it generates duplicity of information. That is, you have the information in the cloud and on the computer. Therefore it limits the storage capacity in the computer. 2. With the passage of time, the generation of personal, academic, application information, etc; It's getting older. In this sense, it requires greater storage capacity for the use of the virtual platform, not 15 GB free and 200 GB payments.

Pros

I have to keep A LOT of data for my non-profit plus have room on computer to work with applications like Photoshop. I still work with my Photoshop files on my hard drive, but being able to store everything else frees up space so it doesn't get bogged down. AND, I can access the same data from both of my computers and my ipad.

Cons

I really haven't found anything negative at this point, but I've only used it for about 6 months.

Cross-platform doesn’t mean crossed fingers

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

Other than the fact that OneDrive can be used cross-platform with Apple, Android AND various other operating systems as long as you have a Microsoft account (which is FREE to sign up and use, cuz who doesn’t like free service, am I right?) the best thing about OneDrive is that it’s free-mium (meaning the base plan is free, but you can pay for additional storage), which is great for those of us who may not have the most money and those people who have money burning a hole in their pockets alike.

Cons

Because OneDrive is a free-mium service, once you hit the maximum data storage amount, you either have to upgrade your storage plan or transfer and/or delete your various files to make room. It’s a small price to pay (pun not intended), but hey, it’s free Cloud storage....

Pros

This software makes it seamless for our team to share documents, and allows for quick and secure collaboration in a time where many employees are still adjusting to remote work. We also use this software to securely share documents with clients.

Cons

We occasionally have issues with with OneDrive syncing properly, but this is usually due to the user's wifi or VPN connection.

Ease of file sharing with clients.

Pros

As a virtual assistant OneDrive makes it easy to share documents with my colleagues and clients nationwide.

Cons

Compared to other document storage options OneDrive makes sharing "upload" folders with clients more difficult - requiring them to sign in (and in some cases sign out of their current login first if they are using Office 365 under a different email) in order to upload a file versus an secure upload portal. This requires a bit of extra hand holding for less tech-aware or some older clients.

Pros

The free version of the OneDrive stores quite a large amount of files. You can quick drop files from one device and access from another.

Cons

Once you run out of room, purchasing more space can get expensive and runs on a subscription basis.
