It helped me to run all my files and data in arranged ways and helped secure them.
Collecting data and sharing it in one place is the best advantage when using Microsoft SharePoint besides integrating with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Nothing at all. To be honest I haven't found a single flaw while using the software.

My overall experience is positive with SharePoint especially since it is excellent at uploading Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
The website is very customizable and will fit your organization's needs with regard to data management. You can secure your data very well and ensure permissions are required to input or update data.
The software, at face value, is old technology and is severely hampered by space requirements. If you need to store large amounts of data and want an updated "face" to your site, there are better options out there for data management software.

The benefits of Microsoft SharePoint for our business are immense. It enables us to excel in the fast paced cloud ready environment of today!
Microsoft SharePoint is used by our team every day. It is how we share and store all of our companies important data. The flexibility of the tool is unparalleled.
On occasion I run into issues with the service and need to deal with the support. The support can be difficult to get a hold of from time to time and sometimes difficult to understand.

I learned how to organize in an efficient manner that combines everyone in my organization and connects us well.
I really enjoy how useful the different folders are for organizing. Everyone able to make changes to it helps to keep everything updated. I love how each file/folder shows who recently updated it in order to know how recent it is.
I do not like how in order to make edits on excel, you have to click to edit in excel sheets. This is not beneficial for those who do not have Microsoft on their computers.

Overall, I like Sharepoint. We use Microsoft office products like word, excel all the time and with Sharepoint it is easy to upload them on the website.
We use Sharepoint in your work. Our main company page is Sharepoint website. I really like it for several reasons. First, it is easy to customizable, and you can integrate Microsoft office with it. Also, the Sharepoint is fast and responsive. We rarely have any issues with our Sharepoint page.
In order for Sharepoint to be fully functional, the Microsoft windows has to be of the latest version. Otherwise, some of the programs will not run properly. Also, sometimes the Sharepoint website goes down and we have to contact the IT department to resolve the issue.

Working on graduate level courses as a part of my PhD
Integrates in really well with other Microsoft Projects (such as OneDrive to have constant version histories) and all the office products (Word, Excel etc)
Sometimes SharePoint can be buggy and create version inconsistencies when several users are working on the same thing

We use sharepoint as basically a document dump - SOPs and general guidelines live here, as well as sharing collaborative files. It's OK, but I prefer Smartsheet for anything collaborative that people would force excel to work for - i.e. tracking a project or action items. It is however just integrated with our business - so it's kind of stuck here forever
It integrates with Microsoft office well for sharing excel, word and pdf's. Getting users inside an organization is simple if they already use office.
It's not as easy as it should be, and the interface feels clunky at best. Compared to google drive + docs integrations, this is very cumbersome. People will also try and use sharepoint as a crutch for our actual CRM system, creating double work when someone leaves and the sharepoint becomes outdated. The worst is how slow it is - click and wait. I click on a google drive folder and it's up faster than google.com

The best part Microsoft Sharepoint is the data can be collected at one place without any hustle and multiple users can edit the same sheet online simultaneously. For daily updates, the SharePoint is the best alternative rather than composing a mail every time within the organization.
It doesn't provide full functionality of all the Microsoft office products. I mean when it comes to editing the excel sheet, for instance, it's actually bizarre.

Microsoft SharePoint is excellent collaboration software. The platform is customizable and highly organized. The one major plus point is that you can edit the Microsoft Word/Excel/Powerpoint files online without downloading an offline copy, and the collaborators can see changes in real-time. It integrates nicely with the entire Microsoft Suite - providing users a good experience.
While the simplified layout makes SharePoint user-friendly, there are not many bells and whistles to make the aesthetics anything of note. From my own personal use, there are some limitations with organizing resulting from this as well.

Sharepoint is secure and versatile, making it a great product. The ability to edit both online and through other Microsoft products (Word, PPT, Excel) is a great thing.
Sharepoint is not accessible. Compared to GoogleDocs/Drive, it takes a lot of set up and use to its highest capacity. This takes time that could be used in other avenues.

Microsoft-centric common repository platform for our small to medium-sized business. Easy export to doc, excel for the tables and fields you put into the site. Easy enough to setup, and manage users and accesses.
We have a long-standing partnership with Microsoft. Our workflow involves Microsoft products (MS Office, Great Planes, etc) and so we needed a repository platform that can put all our Microsoft centric archives and files into one place. SharePoint to the rescue. We used Sharepoint initially just for archiving purposes (i.e., creating folders and saving our *.doc, *.xls...). We then extended it use for keeping a common calendar, creating team spaces for Projects, and even using the messaging and poll functions. Workplace is able to create a micro-site that is easily exportable into an Excel file for reporting and data analytics purposes.
The subscription comes with a hefty price (esp for a bigger user base). Some users (even administrators) feel that the app is clunky and heavy on the backend.

Sharepoint might not suit everyone, as it completely depends on what they need. Even though it provides many features, it could be unnecessary for an organizations requirements to spend too much money on it.
Since, SharePoint is part of Microsoft Office, it easily integrates with other microsoft appls like word, excel, etc.Which saves a lot of time and helps in working together. It helps to build and customise a lot of features on top of it.It can also stores a lot of data in one single place.
Sharepoint is a complex application when it comes to setting up or maintaining it. And it is very expensive to afford. It has a bad searching functionality which should be improved. And is a lot confusing, especially for smaller organization which comes with a bigger learning curve.

I am grateful I do not have to manage this software. It gets the job done, but not in an elegant, or intuitave to use way at all. If I can avoid using it's features, I usually use another product, or just email.
It integrates with our Microsoft products natively, allow us to open spreedsheets in Excel, and then save them back to SharePoint without any effort. Can do many things if you have the know-how.
Not intuitive at all. Clunky interface with hard to navigate user and access control. This product seems way behind its times compared to a software such as Atlassian Confluence.

I had a great experience with Microsoft Sharepoint. Before using Sharepoint, I was not aware that even such a powerful collaboration tool exists in the first place. With the help of Sharepoint, I can store a large amount of data, share it with the required team members with Read/Edit access as required, and work collaboratively with them in real-time to create or edit documents. Overall, it is the best collaborative working platform I have seen.
There are many great things about Microsoft Sharepoint, but the best thing about it is that the Microsoft documents - Word, Powerpoint, and Excel, when opened by multiple people simultaneously, can be edited simultaneously as well. As a member of the Product team at ZS, my colleagues and I collaboratively edit the pitch decks and budget estimates on Powerpoint and Excel simultaneously, and this makes document management hassle-free since the updates by all are saved in real-time and are visible to all.
As a user, Microsoft Sharepoint has almost all the features one can desire. One of the features which I find missing is the lock for edit feature for a particular user at a particular time. If the document creator wishes, he should be able to lock the document even for those with edit access at a particular time, so that the document can be edited only by the creator. This is helpful especially when focus work is required where the interference of other editors would be undesirable.

It has been good. I'm not a heavy user, my use case is most to share files with the team. I only had to create a page once and it was something simple and quick.
As it is a Microsoft solution, it works extremely well with Office products like Excel, easy to store and share files with the correct permissions. The UI is appealing and it serves for what we need.
It's quite expensive and, when creating pages, the user have to be careful about how other users will get to it if there is no link in the main page, for example.

Microsoft SharePoint is easy to use, intuitive, and simple to navigate. It allows user to create websites to share documents across the enterprise, integrating well with other software being used in your business, such as Microsoft Access, Excel, and other Office products, along with an ERP system such as Microsoft Dynamics AX. Access to documents can be controlled at the user level, and multiple editors can collaborate on the same document. Updates are immediately available.
Sorting documents can be difficult. The user interface is old-fashioned and outdated. The images (such as buttons) are small.

I like the fact that Sharepoint as a platform allows you to connect to pretty much any other content that Microsoft products produce. Im mainly referring to forms here because those are incredibly handy. You can link Excel files, use web parts to have OneDrive locations, embed things like Yammer, Power BI, etc. Definitely a strong platform to share content when you are in a Microsoft ecosystem.
I find its hard to use, user security setup can be very complicated at times. Browsing through site settings is very daunting, I don't know why they don't give it a relook. Many organizations are using Sharepoint sites these days and it really does need a refresh. That said, there is a lot you can do with the product and probably even more if they increased the ease of use.

Overall, its simple to use and easier to connect and share across. It becomes a bit hard when you try complex things.
First, it can be accessed from different devices and from anywhere. Because its a tool offered by Microsoft, it works really well with Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, making the flow of work and transition easy. Sharing is another aspect which is pretty easy.
Its really not pleasing to the eye and doesn't work seamlessly with platforms outside of Microsoft.

My experience with the Microsoft SharePoint has been quite positive. It allows us a central storage for our company and everyone can accsess the data easy from any device. Personally, I enjoyed most working in excel documents at the same time with my collegaues in Finance Department.
What I like most about SharePoint is that everyone can easily upload the documents and it is easy to search them in Drive. Every document is then accessable from everyone in the organization and people can work at the same document at the same time. Most i liked, when working in Excel online with my collegaues.
I had some difficulties in the beginning when settin up the SharePoint and I think it requires a specialized knowledge. But once you set it up, it makes your life easy.

As mentioned above, I used to be intimidated by Excel. I actually really enjoy using Excel now though. I find myself using it for little day-to-day calculations. Could I manually figures into a calculator and risk an incorrect calculation because I pressed the wrong button? Yes. Better yet, though, I can put the data in Excel and have it run the calculations for me. I cannot remember the last time I used a calculator.
I used to be afraid of Excel. It has so many features and functionalities that I used to get easily overwhelmed. However, once I took some training classes and watched some training videos online, I started to really like the software. Using it has greatly decreased the amount of time I spend manipulating data. It's also great that because there are so many users, you can pretty much Google anything that you want to do in Excel and find a training video for it. I love that I can condense data into pivot tables for easy viewing. I used to work for a company that created a very involved spreadsheet that they used to convert hourly employees' timecards into appropriate data to upload to ADP for payroll processing. If you can imagine it, Excel can probably do it.
I would like to be able to share spreadsheets for editing more easily without having to use SharePoint. Aside of that, I feel like Microsoft has worked out a lot of the kinks with this software since it has been out for so long.

Since year 2000 I'm using excel now it has improved in a lot of areas. Excel has made our life easy in our work.
Ribbon Functionality is more helpful to find functionalities. New excel formulas add every version made life easy to to do calculations. Awesome new charts are added in every version. New templates have introduced in every version.
Cost is very high In the beginning, there's a learning curve in formulas and Software. Some times excel not integrate with the other Microsoft products ex:- Some occasions SharePoint does not open the excel file. When new releases new functionalities have introduced but end-user doesn't know what are them

Sorting thru and adding data to tracking sheets, finding and sorting information from detailed spreadsheets. I am constantly filtering and hiding data to find what I need, mostly effectively.
Easy place to access / sort and adjust data. Works with sharepoint to extract data, advanced features like pivot tables super helpful.
Like other Microsoft products, MAC features are lacking and if available, function differently than PC versions for no reason. Sharepoint / 365 online version lacks key features, such as inability to easily replace images in cells (right click > change picture from file is not available, curious as it works online with PowerPoint).

It is literally the most important Microsoft Office tool. I've used Excel for nearly 30 years to manage data, analyze data, and create custom charts and reports. Other data analysis tools we use from SQL to R to Python all come back to being copied in a XLSX file or other teams. Being able to collaborate with integration into SharePoint and Teams has been critical during COVID.
It has gotten very complex and bloated. I don't use many of the newer features and hate when they change the menu bars up.
