SharePoint makes it seamless to share restricted documents within my team/organization at the role level.
SharePoint isn't integrated with all communication services, such as Slack.

Consistent and rarely lags.. a bit chunky but overall a great management tool
very intuitive once you get the hang of it.
Boxy interface, feels a bit clunky. Would like a slack channel like experience for customer support

Amazing API to explore new technologies and Recent features. Allowed calendar and file sharing is something very good .
UI. It could be definitely more Impressive and Interactive. Non suitable for very big teams. Adding more features like Slack is good

This app is very good for sharing of documents amongst your team members for information and collaboration. I like the fact that it is web-based and yet still secure giving me peace of mind to share sensitive data.
If this can be made to integrate with Slack, that would be perfect! Otherwise, I am quite satisfied with the ease of use thus far.

If it wasn't for the interface, I would probably say it's an A+ experience.
I started using Microsoft SharePoint when our team switched to Microsoft Teams from Slack. It's indeed handy when it comes to data management, sync, and collaboration. I like that we can work on the same document with my team, and there's a high level of integration between all Microsoft apps.
I still don't like the interface but it's a common problem for all Microsoft products. They need to add some freshness to their apps.

Sharepoint is a complete waste of time and money.
The quintessential example of corporations buying terrible software simply because it was made Microsoft. While many companies still think that an "intranet" is a good idea, the simple fact is that they've never worked and aren't. Companies need two tools - Dropbox for sharing files and Slack for internal messaging - end of story.
Absolutely terrible user interface - hard to design with, hard to change and impossible to get anyone internally to actually use it.

Slack helped the office a lot with integrating various programs different people used (some preferred DRIVE and that initially caused lack of cohesion with team members. WE loved making emojis as well.
I liked the document management portion as it was much easier to use than Microsoft SharePoint and helped with the speedy progress of the assignment.
I didn't have any problems whatsoever with the software,

Easy to use and navigate. Users can create their own hashtags and channels for creating discussion forms around topics of interest. This is an excellent tool to encourage employees to discover new content, contribute to a discussion, and thereby lead them to improve organizational processes and products. It's a must have social tool for fostering innovation
New users may feel overwhelmed at first but once you get hang of it, it's easy to use As far as I know, no integration with Microsoft Outlook or sharepoint

overall we may switch over to Teams but some of our users like Slack
Our attorneys are able to post and chat about certain topics a lot easier than using email/sharepoint
there are a bit too many features to use, that can overwhelm our users. we use it along with other communication apps

I love Slack. It's intuitive and easy to use but powerful at the same time. Yes, the fact that Microsoft Teams can integrate with the office suite seamlessly is convenient but I can live without that in exchange of a better and more reliable interface.
Great for working with distributed teams. Enables a digital workplace: people can feel as part of a team despite working remotely. Easy to use. Easy to organise projects into channels. Much better UX than Microsoft Teams.
It doesn't integrate with Microsoft Office like Microsoft Teams does (obviously).

Direct messaging is a must these days, with busy and remote workers. The different channels keep everything organized and ensure that the right people are getting the info they need, without bothering those it doesn't apply to.
I love the way Slack integrates with different apps like Google and Asana! It's very easy to share documents, coordinate calendars, and make sure everyone is up to date.
Unfortunately the cost is a challenge for our team, especially when Microsoft Teams is included already with our Microsoft subscription.

I used slack for communication between coworkers and send source code for evaluation, working very well
what I liked the most, was the snippet that could be done with source codes of projects that I worked on, to share with my work colleagues
could have integrations with microsoft software

It's helped improve communications between teams without relying on Microsoft licensing
I love the ease of use, the many different options and plugins and customizations, and the integration of the desktop and mobile applications. Our devs adore it.
I wish the message history was easier to search. We have the paid product so we do have history save, but I still miss being able to search my conversation history from Skype for Business in Outlook. Also Skype for Business provides screen sharing which is useful in a corporate IT infrastructure environment, although I don't know how feasible it would be to add that to Slack.

Great easy chat to use with large or small teams, but feels less worth it with small teams (for the price I mean).
The organization and simplicity makes this crazy easy to use for large or small org's. You can create individual channels for certain projects and you can easily share code with each other.
It was buggy when integrated with Microsoft Visual Studio

i used slack with my previous team kind of outside of the company chat system... the company has gone with microsoft teams. microsoft teams is nowhere near as easy to use or as helpful as slack.
easy to use for chatting and collaborating with the team and with remote teams. works well on the PC as well as on the phone app. has many great plugins that allow it to work with your systems to tell you if a project deployed successfully or not... and giphy :)
i can't really think of something i don't like about it... other than that not enough people in my company are using it :(

Slack is very user friendly in terms of layout, and gives Microsoft Teams a run for its money. The ability to create groups for individual projects keeps clutter out of emails while also ensuring only relevant team members receive project communications for projects in which they're involved.
Slack is expensive compared to other collaboration services (Microsoft Teams, Skype, etc.). With Microsoft Teams included in our Office subscription, we're having a hard time justifying the cost of Slack.

Slack is easy to use, but is also limited compared to Microsoft Teams.
Slack makes it easy to communicate with a coworker across the hall or across the world, and to set up groups for team and cross-team collaboration.
Doesn't integrate with other software as easily as Microsoft Teams does, for obvious reasons.

Team and peer-to-peer communication has been so much easier compared to Microsoft products.
Search-ability: with other IM services we has no ability to search previous conversations. It made documenting problems that came up impossible. Channels: setting up channels has saved a lot of mass emails Screenshare: with employees in the US, India and Mexico we can easily communicate internationally, easily sharing screens
I really don't have any complaints. But the functionality does vary based on how much integration IT is willing to do.

We're a remote first Startup so it's very essential for us to communicate and co-ordinate on a real time basis.
The massive availablity of native integrations is the reason we've joined Slack. Secondly sharing files and links is damn easy on it.
The pricing. Seriously there're many free alternatives like Telegram, Microsoft Teams & Whatsapp.

I wasn't too impressed with Slack overall. It's a good tool, but it isn't great. Microsoft Teams and Twist have come a long way to rival Slack (especially Microsoft Teams). Slack needs to make some changes to keep up.
The thing I enjoyed the most about Slack was the ability to integrate a large number of applications and services with it.
The Desktop Client is kind of slow and clunky compared to alternatives, and there are other paid (and free options) which provide more functionality nowadays.

Slack is visually pleasing - I like that you can upload custom reactions and make it fun for everyone involved
Slack is great, but it's not quite as all-encompassing as Microsoft Teams.
