Overall todoist does a good job. It doesn't do anything bad. Unfortately I ended up switching to any.do because it had better grocery list features.
ToDoist has great and simple to use features for a to do list app. You can create clean to do lists as well as nested lists. You can also easily share lists with other people. I like how Todoist supports linux as well as most platforms. It is also very fast.
The biggest issue is no autocomplete. Rival app any.do has an autocomplete feature for grocery lists. This allows you to quickly create a grocery list without fully typing out items. Todoist doesn't have this feature. Todoist also does not automatically sort grocery items into different categories like Any.Do. This makes it really time consuming to find items when actually grocery shopping.

The free trial left me wanting more, but with mostly-free alternatives like Wunderlist (soon to be Microsoft To-Do), Any.do and others, I can't justify the (recurring) cost for personal use.
Todoist is probably the best todo list manager, at least for personal use. It has every feature you may need, is easy to use and is cross-platform.
Almost every feature requires a paid subscription, which is not cheap in comparison to what the product is at the end of the day. Even reminders and notifications require a subscription...

The premium service offers a wide variety of options and services, as well as the option to share tasks with other people.
The Free version is annoying and not very functional, as you are asked to upgrade everywhere. The option to stimulate the completion of activities is in my opinion useless, moreover the graphic design get you tired pretty soon .. Needless to say, there are competing app (Any.Do, for example) much better!

Clean and simple user interface. Lots of integrations and wide availability across devices.
Task entry is not as flexible and powerful as other apps like Todoist.

Using Any.do in my day to day work was easy, it integrated easily with my calendar as well. Overall Todoist won in terms of functionality and features. But I may consider going back to Any.do some day.
Any.do is easy to use, streamlined task management app.
When I last used it, it could not be as omnipresent and multi-platform as my go-to to do list app (Todoist).

Any.do's integration of 'smart A.I' is a great step in the right direction. The daily reminder to schedule your tasks and reminder system keeps you aware of what your daily expectations should be. Within the app, the UX/UI is also quite pleasant and will be well-received by users who enjoy a minimalist approach.
If your tasks are incredibly simple - never needing to create anything more than a short sentence as a proficient reminder, then Any.do is a viable option. For users who enjoy and use tags, labels, folders, subtasks, etc - this product is lacking. Tools like Todoist, Ticktick, Wonderlist, Tasks, and (my current To-do list) Amazing Marvin - are much better alternatives for the 'task list enthusiasts'.

A fun friendly app that has proven itself to me in helping me get things done.
I bounce back and forth between Todoist and Any.do. I use Todoist for work and Any.do for personal projects and side projects, that is, moonlighting. They're both excellent apps but Todoist is less interactive while Any.do really is that app that talks to you and encourages you to get things done. The web app and the mobile app are quite different. The web app just got an overhaul and I'm not sure...
As far as I can tell, in the web app you need to move a task after you quickly add it. Otherwise it automatically gets added to today's tasks. That seems weird to me. In the mobile app, there are plus signs next to Today, Tomorrow, Someday so that you can put the task where you want it to begin with. I prefer that.

• Absolutely gorgeous UI. They say it's award winning and no wonder, I've tried todoist, google tasks (which come pretty close but are not as feature rich) and evernote to manage my TODOs and the competition is not even close. • Integration with Zapier. I don't use this extensively but I have my google tasks linked to Any.do through zapier because IFTTT supports google tasks and not any.do, so I use...
• I got premium just because of how frequently I use the app but none of the premium features are really worth paying for. I paid largely to support the devs, it was cheap enough. The daily Moment (where Any.do makes you go through that day's tasks and mark them done or postpone them) is the only thing I'd consider paying for, but even though you technically only get unlimited moments with premium...
