I decided to use Houzz as my platform of choice for my remodeling/renovation business because it has the widest range of abilities to help consolidate all my processes into one spot. Before Houzz I was utilizing seven or more apps to accomplish my tasks.

It is slow, it does not have a lot of integrations, or access to use APIs, webhooks and other type of data for sales as well as it needs better time management and cost management features like geotagging for time slip.

It made sending proposals/invoices a much simpler process by being able to clip products directly from their websites, then assign a product to a project, and being able to add tons of detail for both the client and our team without having to toggle between screens.

Did not integrate with Quickbooks, Employee Clock in/clock out feature did not work properly, 3D rendering software was glitchy and not user friendly, no way to capture allowances for finishing selections, pricing increase was over 400% after first year.

I believe there is a significant feature missing from this software that is crucial - the ability to create a comprehensive system with multiple costs that can be regularly updated, like an analysis of unit prices.

I really like how it is an "all in one" system for everything you might need including 3D renderings, mood boards, project management, clients contact system, and  a lot more.

I also use the time stopwatch for clocking freelance hours which seamlessly translate to an invoice for billing which is amazing.

The ability to use the software to do take and design to show a client what they can get when sending an estimate.

It felt as if they gave it 100% in the scanning rooms feature, but when creating estimates it wasn’t nearly as streamlined.

The features available really help cut down on time spent working on estimates, floor plans, and changes are so easy to make without getting rid of the quoted item completely.

There is a learning curve to getting 3d plans input and getting takeoffs from those plans. With that said, guide videos have been helpful in learning the process.
