Used to purchase tickets for teacher pro-d conferences with Sched.
That is was attached to Sched (for conference organization).
The layout could be improved so that it more easily manageable (being able to see more on the screen by having a drop down menu for tickets, pricing, etc which appears on the left of the screen, taking up valuable viewing space).

I've used Eventbrite for years to promote and organize my own events around the city and it's been great. It makes it so easy to create an event and sell tickets. And its mobile app makes it even easier to check in and move around the event. I paid for an upgraded account to get more features and it's been totally worth it. I love how it makes it easy to track ticket sales and payouts. I've used it for both personal and business and can't recommend it enough.
Eventbrite is a great platform to use for event promotion. It lets you set up and manage your events and allows users to find and register for your events. Any event can be listed on the website for free, and once live, tickets can be sold through the site, including via mobile. If the free version is not enough for you can pay the pro plan, I think it is worth it.
Probably if you hold many events monthly, the free plan will be not enough for you, but I think the pro plan is totally worth it.

Try it out if you are ready!
The pro version adds a ton of functionality but here are the main three things that did it for me: Ticket sales on your own site Customizable checkout forms Detailed sales analytics
The con is the dollar value of ticket cost on top of the %. It makes sense... You just have to get over the hump of having small value tickets and need to sell tickets so that it is practical of pay for those added features.

Overall, it is a viable option. I use it for our non-profit that puts on a yearly conference. The conference is free to attendees but we need to have them register. Attendees often register to bring guests with them. It is here that we encounter some challenges in collection data.
When searching, there were not a lot of options out there. The "pro" would simply be it is a viable free option for putting on an event. I like the ability to point people from Facebook to EventBrite to register.
The free version is very limited. I was even willing to pay to get some more functionality but the paid version either did not have it or the pricing just did not work for us.

I love Eventbrite. It's easy, you can search for things in advance or if you feel like doing something spur of the moment, use the app. Either way, you'll find what you're looking for on Eventbrite.
Eventbrite is a pro at events. You can find free ones, low-cost ones, high-cost ones, local ones, out of state ones, etc. You can set up an event, free or paid. If you have an account it wil autofill when you sign up for events.
I don't really know about any cons with eventbrite. At least I haven't run into any. Not to say there aren't any.

In a world where one doesn't know what website will rip you off or is a trap waiting to scam your credit cards, I know eventbrite is a reputable source. That is a pro of the application. Their navigation system of looking for events seems fairly intuitive as well and if one is having a casual browse, the app does well in serving that.
While surfing the application casually can be easy, if one is looking for information in a pinch about an event, it can be a little difficult to find. Many events have to create special rules outside of the app in order to work around what the app lacks.

One out of Ten-the good news for me is I shall use as an example of software designed by the left brain techies without input from practical people. I appreciate the ability of being able to give my input
I am sure if I were to take some quality time out of my life and dig into the system, there have to be many benefits-as an attendee to several events handled by Eventbrite, my frustration as an end user, grows each time.
1)non-intuitive, nonuser friendly 2) could not find link for my Zoom link 3) have a Mac Pro but app only works for ipad/iphone-did not have time to then dig into what I needed 4) sense heavy focus on selling me tickets to other events BEFORE helping me find the event I had just registered and paid for

My overall experience with Eventbrite was positive. I do believe, though, that the production link access process could be streamlined. Do users have to create a password protected Eventbrite account for a free ticket? Eliminating that step could streamline the process for both attendees and administrators.
Being a small nonprofit performing arts organization, Eventbrite's no-fee ticketing option was a great way for our choir offer our virtual production free to our community. We had more views for the production than expected. In fact, attendees included senior living center residents from different countries as well as from several states in the US. I believe using Eventbrite broadened our audience. Another pro was being able to capture names and email addresses of all attendees. I easily exported the contact information for importing to our email distribution app.
Our organization attracts an older demographic. We had quite a few people contact us at the start of each performance stating they could not figure out how to view our concert. Each instance was an issue with logging into the Eventbrite account. After attempting to assist, I eventually had to send the performance video link directly to the guest via email.

We switched from cumbersome combination of tools including eventbrite and other workarounds to peek because it answered most of our requirements and had the automation and the flexibility we needed without needing too much customization.
With peek, our monthly reporting went from a couple of hours to a few minutes
As the implementation teams turns around releases on a fast cycle, every other week something changes and we need to pay attention to changes.
