I've been using Salesforce at various companies over the last seven years. I've used other CRMs like HubSpot and Copper (formerly ProsperWorks), but their functionality, ability to be customized, and features are limited.
Salesforce is a fundamental tool for any business development, sales, or account team. Completely customizable to your unique business needs, Salesforce simplifies the lead conversion process and enables easy management of contacts, accounts and opportunities. Also, Salesforce provides standard fields that are able to be used by most businesses out of the box, but adding custom fields and objects is not a difficult task.
Creating reports with Salesforce can be a little daunting at first, but that's only because there is so much capability on the features of the report builder.

Prosperwork is a cloud based Sales/CRM that functions very similarly to Base CRM. It functions on all desktop and mobile platforms.
There are some features like text interfacing and documentation that are left off the standard tool. You actually have to purchase more costly plug-ins to have complete functionality.

In comparison to SalesForce it's much easier to use.
I use mostly to input all activities and prospects
I don't have any negative things to write about Copper. It supports me for the things that I need to manage on a day to day basis.

I like Copper, it is easy to use and integrated with Gmail. Cloud base allows use any place in the world. Accounts and analysts (people who do nothing but watch what I do) love looking at my copper but hate putting information in system.
1. Organizes leads, people, and anything for sales. 2. sends reminder emails about presentation or phone call. 3. cloud based, can be done anywhere 4. Task managment 5. easy input with enough infomration on clients. Sometimes find info on leads online.
1. Can't same attachments for emails. 2. Does not integrate with LinkedIn (App for LinkedIn mixing is terrible). 3. Not enough time to use because focoused on other things for small busines.

Copper is feature-rich and did everything we wanted it to do to manage sales at a relatively large website. We used Copper to manage leads, convert them to opportunities, track payments, and fulfill our clients' orders. We also set up integrations with Slack and Google Forms, which made it much easier for clients to reach out and for us to track progress and discuss projects in a single tool (Slack).
Pricing could be more competitive, but compared to Salesforce, it's probably not bad at all.

I work in a service company that offers hardware and software solutions with hundreds of clients in LATAM. Prosperwork is a fundamental support for the management of our company, it allows us to follow up on the objectives set, measure deviations, marketing actions and contact with our customers.
Prosperwork is a CRM, which works in the cloud, which allows improving the sales management of any company. Among the most brilliant features is the complete merger with the Google Suite, but that articulation does not stop there, it also has the option of integrating with other web tools such as MailChimp, on cloud solution for handling email marketing campaigns, which makes an essential support tool for the work of our marketing department. It also offers synchronization with Dropbox, which makes it easy to transfer information through the tool. Due to being a solution on cloud, you can follow up, in real time, the work of the sales department. Contributing to the making of early decisions, avoiding the deviation from the goal proposed by our board.
We are very satisfied with the solution presented by this software, to the point of not having found ourselves before anything we want to do and can not do it in the tool. Although it is intuitive, it can be a bit confusing to use in the first few changes. Then, everything flows with a lot of precision and speed. The main reason for this situation is the large number of options and configurations that can be made in Prosperwork.

My favorite feature is the ability to link with Gmail. It is also very easy to filter through contacts, opportunities, and leads to help gain sales.
Unable to load sales data easily from excel spreadsheets.
Really appreciate the review, Aaron. Thank you!

Seamless integration with our existing Google accounts. We save time, money and headaches. It is a vast improvement over our former CRM, Salesforce. The transition from Salesforce to Prosperworks CRM was flawless and handled easily by our IT professional.
We like how well Prosperworks CRM integrates with Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive. It's convenient and very intuitive. Customer service is always very helpful.
There are some functionality features that could be improved. But customer service is always very helpful.

My cons are things that I think the company will solve for in the coming quarters to years -- nobody can build everything at once. ProsperWorks is a great technology that I highly recommend checking out if you're looking for an alternative to Salesforce or Dynamics.
I just discovered ProsperWorks this year and have been very impressed. They do exactly what they say they'll do: making CRM easy. The platform is intuitive, and you don't need a PhD in it to be able to customize the system to your business. The integration with the Google Suite is incredible as well. You can manage and update leads right from Gmail, which saves a ton of time.
Integrations are behind some of the largest players in the market such as Salesforce. Reporting is clean and easy-to-use, but a bit limiting compared to a Salesforce as well. Experienced consultants aren't as easy to find due to the newness of the platform.

I like how easy it is to use Copper, to search for notes, data, contacts, opportunities, leads, etc. You can create views, and lists with filters which is valuable.
Lack of dashboards, or big picture revenue analysis. I'm so used to using Salesforce, it was hard to make the switch to Copper, and I wish it had some of the Salesforce capabilities, and definitions, like Lead, Contact, Account, Opportunity, and stages and statuses.

It's been a big upgrade for us and is a lot easier to use than Salesforce.
The google integration is clearly the best feature. I love being able to add task from my email and assign emails to opportunities / people.
The email integration and side bar can be a bit finicky. Not sure why but it just disappears at times. Also really need the reporting to get easier / more robust.

Systematizes sales pipeline for consistency, provides opportunity to measure sales efforts.
I like that it automates our sales pipeline tasks. We move an opportunity through the pipeline and it automatically generates tasks as we go.
I don't like that it doesn't integrate with Zendesk. We handle all of our support from Zendesk and when an email is sent through Zendesk, Prosperworks doesn't pick that up and add it to the contact's record.

Inability to record recurring revenues for SaaS sales. Some custom work fixed that.

Great. Everything I've needed, nothing I don't.
That it's fairly intuitive and easy to use. I've used Salesforce at all my other jobs and it's a pain in the butt. In my opinion it's too much. Trying to be everything to everybody. In contrast, Copper has been very smooth, focused and easy to use. I have what I need and not a bunch of extra stuff to bog me down and get in my way. Specifically appreciated the reporting. So much simpler to generate the fairly simple reports I'm looking for as a sales rep. Was able to figure it all out on my own without having to bug mangers and sales enablement.
I had some minor frustrations with lack of information sharing between Copper and other systems. Honestly though, I think that was more on our end and shouldn't really be attributed to Copper because I think that was a lack of investment on our end to button up integrations.

Better information collection and sales pipeline visibility for me means timely actions and more closed sales.
PW's integration with G-suite supercharges the Gmail experience. email tracking allows perfectly timed calls for clients and much much more.
PW is currently looking in to effective 2 way contact sync. I am currently paying another 3rd party supplier for this feature. it would improve my workflow if collecting details to "write up" in PW was not required.

We use it every day.
It helps us integrate sales efforts with contacts, keep track of sales and where opportunities and sales are in the cycle. Keep track of our orders in a way that is intuitively tied to our contact list and calendar reminders.
The project management is not so great once a sale has closed. There are some minor tech problems.

Helping our Sales Department follow up on Sales Leads, in a timely manner with both new and old customers. Keeping up with actual Lead to Sale Ratios, Projected Sales Quotas, etc.
Customer Service, I am a technically challenged Gram of 3, who all can run rings around me in the technical department, that is, if it is pertaining to the games, photos, Social Media sites, etc. Copper Customer Service has been most helpful and understanding with me~learning to navigate pages!
The most aggravating thing I complain about is not being able to see or find my data after entering and not being able to actually see it has been done!

When my work tools integrate into gsuite business tools. prosperworks works great out of the box
while this is a useful crm to get your sales team on quickly, there's a lot to be desired in terms of flexibility and managing your sales workflow. integrations outside of gsuite are also more difficult to come by

It does what its suppose too, pretty convenient.
I like the mobile feature on my phone, being that I'm outside sales this has a ton of value.

It's a great sales tracker
Ability to monitor all my leads from opportunity meeting held untill I close the deal. In addition, I can sign the contract directly from copper due to the third party integration with pandadocs
My profile doesn't seem to show extensive reports. Eg I would like to be able to measure conversion from cold email to warm lead to deal won

Copper has become a reliable tool to our sales team in lead generation, sales pipeline management and other related activities. The introduction of copper has indeed help me to track all activities related in the sales process.
Copper helps me to create calendar events and also set tasks on lead and opportunities created.
Data captured in copper cannot be accessed offline or without internet.

More Awesomeness for my sales team
Gmail extension is really all you need for data input. Very clean design. I love the Google Sheets add on and all of the triggers and actions you can set up with Zapier. I have used many CRMS (pipedrive, base, close.io and salesforce) and recently compared prosperworks head on with Salesforce - prosperworks ultimately won out due to ease of set up and the gmail extension.
We have a lot of legacy prospects and so it's helpful to see emails from 12 months or older from other reps at our company, unfortunately those emails don't get pulled in to the contacts activity history if older than 12 months.

Most importantly, this platform has dramatically increased our ability to effectively and easily pursue sales leads longer and better than we were able to do previously. This has translated into more sales. Sales is what it's all about.
Most platforms are either too simplistic or WAY too complicated (think SalesForce). Prosperworks is lives in the Goldilocks zone of "just right". We are a medium size company that cannot afford a full time CRM engineer, so perhaps my decision would be different under these circumstances. But I have had nothing but a great experience with using ProsperWorks. Also, it's highly intuitive and the architecture is designed such that you do not have to click through things to get to other things. From nearly any point in the platform you can create entries or access the information you need. This saves a lot of time over the course of the day.
My complaints are small and business-specific. The issues I have are unique to our business model. The good thing is that the engineers at PW have been able to create customized programming and workarounds to solve most of our problems.

Sales team is knowledgeable, and helpful.
Pipeline and reporting
Room for improvement with customization, for our construction business. Integrations are weak. We use xactimate and I would like to see more that just a calendar for scheduling. I would like to be able to schedule production with Prosperworks. I am manually working a schedule for the production staff.
