What is Idealist?
Idealist is a cloud-based platform designed to help non-profits, government organizations, and recruitment agencies create custom business profiles, post jobs and internship opportunities, and discover and hire interested candidates or volunteers.
The platform enables organizations to get displayed in relevant searches by categorizing their listings under various job function terms such as social work, counselling, advocacy, fundraising, events, and more. It reviews and detects issues in posted content using automated filters and allows employees to flag problems via the report button. Job seekers can receive email alerts for new openings based on interests as well as delete or unsubscribe from any alert. Organizations can also create directory profiles using logos, images, videos, marketing copy, and application requirements and connect with various graduate school programs for recruitment.
It offers integration with the third-party platform Greenhouse, letting users share, view, and manage jobs on the Idealist job board automatically. Staffing agencies can also use the blind listings functionality to advertise jobs anonymously for contracting organizations.
