Pros

I was also reached out to DIRECTLY by a customer service member via email asking if I needed help. I did not need, help, but it was nice to know that the service was available.
The online community is also really great with supporting each other and lending new ideas. The different preview options that are built in are fantastic and load so much faster than Storyline.
I truly enjoy the ability to convert old PowerPoint training decks into exciting & yes to coin a phrase, "Captivating" training for our employees & management.

Pros

Couple the ease of use with responsive technical support, and post-sales support, and your company will have a successful eLearning partner.
This past two days, the awesome support team has managed to solve my issues. I really do applaud the support team for their great service.
ISpring is still the best. Easy to understand, easy to use and plenty of awesome features.

Cons

I found the application would crash every now and then. Nothing I could not work around, but strange to have to experience that in today's world.
Not flexible, slow, design functionalities outdated, poor functionality, can't be used for mobile in reality.
Coming from Articulate Storyline, it's very difficult to get the same type of interactions and logic in Captivate without some considerable tinkering.

Cons

Not a real failure, but more of a dislike: You have to test everything before bringing it online.
This software is very unstable. I constantly have problems with it.
Quiz with math problems are difficult. Pen does not have colors.

Review Adobe Captivate

Reviewed 4 years ago

Charm may be an extraordinary apparatus for making substance from scratch intended for utilizing in a responsive plan. This is often one of my go-to apparatuses when this specific situation exists. Captivate's responsive plan alternative and the wide extend of devices make the application an amazing option for a portable plan. In spite of having a PowerPoint moment and change alternative, Charm is not the instrument to utilize when beginning with substance made in PowerPoint. Slides are imported as a single picture, evacuating activitys, and any capacity to alter the substance.

Pros

reasonable with more highlights than competitors and simple to utilize as well with capable highlights. Adobe Charm may be a full-featured writing apparatus, advertising clients a wide extend of intelligently and instructive instruments. Adobe Master applications exceed expectations by providing you most of the alternatives merely need and more than you need. Captivate offers live creating in a responsive plan. This includes is basic as we see to create more substance for utilizing over portable devices. Captivate coordinating consistently with the other Adobe Inventive Suite devices that we utilize. We combine PhotoShop, Gymnastic performer, and Fascinate to form a few astounding learning instruments.

Cons

Adobe battles in its client back. Learned Fascinate back specialists to educate and troubleshoot would hoist this capable tool. As versatile learning ventures absent from Streak, creating entirely in HTML5 could be a getting to be a must. Fascinate has an HTML5 examiner to audit your extend for potential flash-based issues, but advancement in HTML5 as it were isn't as natural. I squander profitable time and exertion making alterations after the truth.

Nice tool for good price

Reviewed 2 months ago

while not at the very top of eLearning softwares, it is definitely worth its price and as with many "smaller" companies the support is what sets them apart from other providers.

Pros

really easy to use, Powerpoint plugin integration helps starting projects quickly and efficiently. Useful functionalities keep being added (i.e. last year text to speech). Low price compared to other providers like Adobe Captivate. Customer Support always answers quickly and resolves most issues in no time, big plus for us.

Cons

collaboration with colleagues is still not optimal. Working on a shared drive is impossible, the cloud solution requires you to upload and download the project every time you make a change and still it is not seamless and you sometimes need to link project files with source files when editing a colleagues file.

TalkMaster is a great simulation software

Reviewed 7 years ago

Referring to TalkMaster an extremely high efficiency. I guess It takes me about half the time to develop a branched scenario compared to captivate.

Pros

I have to admit that I so far just use TalkMaster, the built in software simulation. I am astonished of its ease of use and the visual display. It makes it a lot easier than if you would try to do something similar in articulate storyline yet in adove captivate.

Cons

In ISpringSuite it would be great to have a dedicated software simulation functionality as captivate or storyline offers.

[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] was extremely nice to work with.

Pros

It is easier to learn than Captivate. Quiz question types are great assortment. Especially a true Hotspot.

Cons

I had a tech support person who tried to make a sale instead of answering my question. Ultimately I figured it out but it would have been a lot faster for the person to answer my question and not push the sale so hard. I am a businessman also. I have learned that a good product will generally sell on its own.

Excellent "lite" authoring tool

Reviewed 6 years ago

We selected iSpring as a lightweight alternative to our primary tool, Adobe Captivate. iSpring has grown to be near equal in our authoring tool use for it's more rapid development abilities and easier to use interface for novice instructional designers. It is our tool of choice for lecture-capture style video delivery.

Pros

It's a lightweight authoring tool with many advanced features and functionality. The simple PowerPoint based interface makes it easy to pick up for novice instructional designers yet it has the ability to integrate simulation style assessment, good video management, and overall modern look and feel when published as well as good mobile playback.

Cons

Minimal ability for custom inteteractions/coding, managing animations is a little cumbersome.

Pros

So far, I am very pleased. I have used Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360, and Active Presenter for eLearning authoring, and I have to say that iSpring has been the most enjoyable. Rapid development. High Quality. Amazing end-to-end eLearning development tool. The support is amazing as well. I feel that this was built top to bottom with the end-user in mind.

Pros

I tried Captivate software, and I took 4 hours elarning on lynda.com to grasp it. after that I installed iSpring and actually after 10 min of video presentation, I am up and running. The best part besides this is that here I can actually use my existing powerpoint slides. That never worked out (for me) in Captivate. (yes I could import them, but they was sort of locked.)

Cons

Just started two days ago, so found nothing yet.

Perfect software and tech / customer support. Since 2015 I am teacher and use it for educational purpose. But the last two years I slowly and gradually switch from Captivate to iSpring completely, include projects. I think next year the process will be finished and I will leave Captivate definitely and will buy commercial version of iSpringSuite. My last dream - customizing color scheme of mobile playbars - was the last year met. Iam happy boy!

Pros

Easy to use, small learning curve, all components of iSpring Suite are integrated and provide variabilty for creating several types of learning products, wich works extremmely good in browsers. Perfect QuizMaker functions and Visuals, now include custom color scheme for mobile player. And much more.

Cons

I miss some advanced actions to create a bit more interactivity than basic navigation using PPT actions. Example: Play/Pause /Stop audio using buttions, Show / Hide objects using buttons, Toogle button, etc. (something like Advanced actions in Captivate or Triggers in Storyline is). IMPORTANT: What make me stress, is new activation policy - from time to time I need deactivate / activate product between my school laptop and home laptop and it make me ,,crazy" ))) Please return two activations and make my life wonderfull again!!! ))))

iSpring Software and Support Review

Reviewed 6 years ago

Being able to use PowerPoint skills I already have to create E-learning courses is great. It makes creating and updating really easy. Also sometimes you just want to get content down without thinking about the functionality straight away. You can do that with iSpring. I have used other e-learning systems, open source one and Adobe Captivate but they did seem more complex and more difficult to just get content down and then design the functionality.

Pros

It is easy to use. Works with Powerpoint which makes it very user friendly. I am using an old version now but still works well and the functionality is still good for what I am using it for at the moment. Professional. The technical is support is excellent. Very speedy response. My support agreement had actually expired and I hadn't realised but I still got a speedy response, informing me that it had expired but still got a solution to my problem which worked.

Cons

The only real issue I had was adding my logo to the player. It became to small and the quality was impaired. I expect these issues have been resolved with newer releases.

Vendor response

Carolina, thank you for your detailed review of iSpring products and service! It's great to hear that you are satisfied with your experience of using iSpring! Keep it up ;)

Very pleased with the ease of use

Pros

What I like most about ISpring is the fact that is an add-on for PPT. While creating e-learning you do not leave your PPT presentation. You do not need to upload it into another program like e.g. Captivate. No issues with transferring recorded audio.

Cons

Very difficult to rate badly what is very userfriendly for a no-IT nerd like me.

Immediately more reliable and seamless to use that Adobe Presenter

Reviewed 5 years ago

I've used iSpring before but due to others using Adobe Presenter, I had to use Presenter. Since our upgrade to Office 365, we've had issues with Presenter working with PowerPoint, causing some serious issues. Today, I loaded a PPT file, synch'd audio and published the file without issue, which is great!!! Since it's early in my review, I can't honestly rate everything as "perfect".

Pros

The best feature is that the software did everything I needed to without issue. Synching, previewing, and exporting a file was seamless unlike my experience with Adobe Presenter.

Cons

There was some features I did not see (but I may have been my lack of experience). One feature I often use (with Adobe Presenter and Captivate) is the ability to lock a slide from moving forward while giving the user the option to go back from any locked slide that's been viewed. ***There was an issue when I updated to iSpring Suite 9 telling me that I was on a trial version. This was confusing because there was no clear mention that the update was a trial version.

Vendor response

Our instructional design team at Pep Boys has been using iSpring for 3 years now. We found it easy to learn and use, and we enjoy its extra features to help us build scenarios and interactivity through its quiz features.

Lower Initial Learning hurdle compared to other options

Reviewed 5 years ago

Their support both in sales and technical support is great. You immediately hear back from someone who knows all about their product which I've been impressed by.

Pros

Uses the familiar PowerPoint interface and structure, making it easy to quickly generate content. Allows for recorded narration with second view of recorded presenter and set animation timings. Good flexibility with quizzes to make them look professional and not take a long time to generate. Custom behavior for pass/fail conditions. Their support is excellent and the maintenance package is a no brainer at least for the first year while you get started. That being said, I have renewed it for the 2 years (so far) that I have used it since they roll out helpful and thoughtful updates. I also appreciate that they offer a non-profit and educational rate which was the deciding factor for our office.

Cons

iSpring is not as flexible as other options like captivate since you are working within the framework of PowerPoint. I'm happy to make that concession because it makes it easier to learn and use existing presentations from lectures and seminars. I wish it was better integrated with working from MS OneDrive as well. Their exporting functionality can be clunky for when you want to move things around.

It also offers features a number of very useful features that allow more complex content and quizzes with a little practice and effort. The iSpring support team has been very responsive to guide us through the questions and problems we have experienced as novice users.

Cons

There are formatting restrictions that other products do not impose, such as Adobe Articulate, however this is less of a 'con' than a trade-off. Often times, ease of use requires a reduction in granular features, and this particular trade off was acceptable to our school.

Great product, excellence support

Reviewed 8 years ago

iSpring offers a robust, easy-to-use solution for PowerPoint users doing eLearning development. PowerPoint as a program simply can't put out what Captivate or other similar programs do, but iSpring sure does a great job of getting it as close as possible. There are still some limitations (especially regarding the freedom within quiz creation), but I certainly couldn't do my job without the possibilities...

iSpring Max Suite fit my needs perfectly

Reviewed 3 years ago

Installing and using iSpring Suite Max was super easy. Since I was under a tight deadline and had miserable results using Adobe Presenter, I was pretty desperate. I found iSpring through internet reviews and download the free trial. Using the trail, I had my course complete and published (with the free trial banner) very quickly and it looked great. I immediately bought the Max package and re-published to remove the banner.

Pros

iSpring Suite makes converting my PowerPoint training programs into SCORM compliant courses that can be uploaded to our LMS. It enabled me to convert all of the compliance training i used to hold live classes for to online courses. Due to COVID-19 and safety considerations, our company is migrating all of our training online. Best of all is the amazing 24-hour support. Several times I got stuck on how to accomplish something I wanted to do. I was able to get chat help that was friendly, patient, thorough and always resulted in getting my task accomplished. ISpring has the best support of any software product I've ever used and I've used a lot. That alone will cause me to recommend it.

Cons

The program is fairly intuitive once you get the hang of it. The only problems I had related to the quizzes. When I first started using it, I didn't realize to be careful you are on the slide in PowerPoint where you want a quiz to be, before you click the Quiz app. If you want to go to your quiz for some reason and your PowerPoint is on a different slide it ties to create an new slide. Also I work at home and in my office. I learned quickly that if you don't package all the files into one folder, when you open you presentation on a different computer and try to access the quiz, iSpring can't find it. It would be helpful if the quizzes 'stuck' embedded to the file. 1. It took a few botched

Just the thing you need!!

Reviewed 7 years ago

An easy-to-use software tool, which allows you to create e-learning content in every form you need. I use it to combine and synchronize lecture videos with powerpoint slides. After 10 minutes of trial, I was convinced and after 20 minutes, I could use the tool without long time searching for help. I also tested Adobe Presenter and other similar programs but the iSpring solution was the best. My absolute recommendation!

Ispring - Making it easy to design online courses

Reviewed 2 years ago

I truly enjoy using the product. As I mentioned before it is easy to use and understand. The use case is perfect for what I need it for and it always over-delivers in my opinion. I like the fact that every so often they update the system with easier-to-use features or enhance the features it currently already has.

Pros

It is easy to use! This is great because you don't have to spend hours trying to learn the platform, unlike Adobe. If you know how to use PP - You are already ahead of the game. Although if you want to take your online learning to the next level then you would want to take some training. However, through the years I have learned several new skills to take our online learning to the next level.

Cons

Not sure yet . . . This is the first software I have ever used so I can't compare it to others.

Smart E-Learning Content for every device. Develop in PowerPoint and Deliver with iSpring Suite.

Reviewed 8 years ago

I am Nalin from New Delhi, India and I have a rich experience in E-Learning and developing Digital Content of over 8 years. Being in this domain, I have been working on and testing many softwares. E-Learning is a field where you get the taste of a variety of computer programs. Like graphic design, video production, sound editing, animation software etc. Out of them, the most important software is...

Pros

1. First and foremost its ease of use. Its unbelievably simple with the easiest learning curve. I couldn't realize how soon I became a pro iSpring user from a novice one. 2. Quick loading of HTML 5 courses in browsers even on low bandwidths. Sometimes I have noticed that courses published with iSpring Suite load even quicker than Youtube videos. 3. There is also a course size and compression option...

Cons

1. Very few interactions. Should have ability to insert more interactions that can be customized in slides. 2. No ability to edit states of objects. 3. Should have an attentive and more active user community. 4. No free form & custom drag and drop in Quizmaker. 5. Its a PowerPoint add in and not a standalone software, hence obviously its inbuilt features specially for customizing and inserting new objects have to limited.

Vendor response

Hi, Nalin! Thanks A LOT for sharing your story about using iSpring! Cheers to the end of complications in your content creation process :) Also thank you for submitting your feature requests. Keep up the great work and we hope that iSpring will keep serving you well!

Excellent software for basic PowerPoint to on-line learning file conversion

Reviewed 9 years ago

I started using iSpring Suite 12 months ago as I needed a simple tool to quickly convert over 40 PowerPoint training modules to HTML5 for a client and they had to be SCORM compliant for their LMS. I also use Captivate and Articulate for development, but iSpring allowed me to do rapid development and the output was amazing. It is so easy to use I can get my administrative staff to do the work after...

iSpring Offers All in One Benefits for Even a Tiny Company

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

I'm one of three employees in the office of our small, family-owned hospitality industry staffing company. I was hired to implement a digital training program for our mostly remote employees. As I don't have experience with creating in the Adobe suite, I was looking for an all-in-one tool. iSpring is this tool for my company and me in ways beyond what I imagined was possible. The Customer Support has been exceptional as the few times that I needed minor assistance, they were immediately accessible. I could go on about the features of iSpring, but I'll summarize by saying that it is exactly what me and my company need!

Cons

Since we were starting from scratch with content authoring and management, our organization was a blank slate regarding the need for integration with other processes. So, I have absolutely no complaints with what iSpring offers us.
