akenza overview

What is akenza?

akenza is a cloud-based IoT platform that provides businesses with tools to control and manage IoT devices on a centralized platform. Supervisors can use the 4D-agnostic tool to gain an overview of device behavior through data visualization.

akenza allows organization to define business logic using a rule engine and access information about pre-integrated devices from the built-in library. Managers can use the data flows module to define data processing chains and apply them across various IoT devices according to requirements. It also let users configure connectivity subscriptions and manage the application output of network servers.

akenza enables businesses to record asset details in a unified inventory and set trigger actions for specific processes. The software also helps users configure role-based access control and secure confidential information using single sign-on (SSO) capabilities.

Key benefits of using akenza

No-Code Data Processing: Being in full control of the IoT data streams is crucial to create useful information out of the raw sensor data. With the no-code Data Flow of akenza, one can define the data processing chain (connectivity, sensor, data output) in a couple of clicks.

Device Type Library: Benefit from a device type library with payload encoder/decoder for up-/downlinks. The most popular off-the-shelf IoT devices are already present in the library, and new devices are continuously added every month. Users can also create their own device type as the device library is open source.

Rule Engine: Rules allow applying business logic to incoming data to trigger actions or alarm notifications. Rules consist of three components: Input, Logic, and Action. Rule inputs define the input device with its data measurement. The rule logic defines the condition to be applied to the data. The rule actions define which action is triggered if the condition is met (downlink, email, sms alert).

Connectivity as a Service: With the Connectivity-as-a-Service offering, users can choose the connectivity that better fits their needs directly in akenza without worrying about separate network operator contracts. The CaaS removes much of the admin hurdles and avoids any lock-in effect with one specific network provider.

Device Management: The device management of akenza allows complete control over all the available assets at any time. It is built to offer support at any phase of the device lifecycle, with a comprehensive set of features to manage a device fleet at scale (asset tags, lifecycle notification, bulk actions).
