Really impressed on the way this tools works, as easy as drag and drop fields in an Excel pivot table, in addition, Tableau won't allow yo to develop wrongful charts.
We really like the easiness to upload and prepare data visualizations, charts, graphics and dashboards. It works with the mains data files such as text crv, xls and google sheet documents. They have a free version which present the main functionalities, perfect for a small business, then if you need to upgrade to a paid version the process is very simple. Their forums and community really support, and help to improve, learn and develop great visualizations.
As any other solution, it takes some investigation and learning to understand the way it works and how to prepare robust presentations in Tableau. Some older versions do not allow roll back. Some sharing and analytic challenges are presented and really wish they develop additional features.

We do a maximum amount of data analysis and data mining. Reporting results is an integral part of the services of Tableau.
Dashboard process are user-friendly. Very good for low technically proficient users. The system is great for teamwork and seeing results of many users.
No deficiencies from a user end. Tableau performs the tasks that I need well and I can order reports with ease.

We only have one license because of the cost. This means that only one user can edit reports, etc. This makes it very difficult as the user who runs the daily report isn't necessarily the user who we would want to create new reports or edit existing ones. More than one license is too expensive and working with a single license is annoying.
We use it mostly to create a daily report. Once it is setup, modifying the dated is simple enough to produce the same report daily.
It is very slow when trying to modify an existing report to add something new. Takes many minutes to load after each additional join. Takes a very long time to create new reports. Also, I would like to see the SQL that is being run in an easier way (currently can edit the log files and find it, but very annoying and difficult to find the queries in a text editor)

Overall, I think Tableau is a great software that provides a beautiful interface to users, and it can be used in various domains and industries.
I love the application because it is widely used by many businesses for analysis, and I especially love the dashboard feature that provides a user-friendly interface.
What I dislike is the data exploration and analysis, which, in my opinion, are a bit slow and disproportionate.

My overall experience with Tableau has been limited because I do not use it all the time. However, when I need to utilize Tableau, I can get to the reports and data that I need very easily.
The thing that I like most about Taleau is the Data Analysis feature. I am able to communicate data that we need to offer our customers based off of many variables in the dashboard.
I do not feel that Tableau could be improved for what I need and use it for. It is very easy to use and understand.
