Overal, our agency is very excited about using AXXESS for the 4 months we've used the software
Ease of use and the many dashboards that help with tracking performance on key measures. The AXXESS care feature is also great for staffing
The fact that the form creator and electronic signature feature for Home Health is not yet operational

This is not a good software for home health.

Poor customer service. I was on hold for over 2 hours. They implement updates at 3pm on a Friday when no assistance is available; they do not prepare users for the updates. Physician orders are impossible to do in the field, medication profiles cannot be updated and signed in the field on a tablet.

One of the single biggest opportunities for Axxess is improving the knowledge and data available to home health organizations through the use of patient satisfaction surveys and other research methods for capturing, analyzing, and benchmarking data available in their EHR systems.

Ease of use and compliance are top of mind. The recent changes to the software are great for companies that want to improve compliance.
I wish Axxess had a hospice product. We are forced now to use a hospice software that sucks. Communications about upcoming changes can be improved too.

Defensible Documentation is not built into the system. I prefer to have an option for an entire package of services rather than add on this, add on that.

I wish you had hospice as well.
I love how easy it is to use. It has all the functionality we need; we've never had any issues. From office staff to clinicians, we love this software!
If I had any complaints, it would be the frequencies and how to track them. It is hard to know everyone's frequencies and put them in the 185 which is where they are pulled from. And if the frequencies change during the episode, which it often does, there is no way to update that and continue using your tool.

It is much more user friendly than other Home Health systems I have used. Help is more available with Axxess.
The same things have to be documented multiple places. For example, if you put in an order for a new medication, it would be nice if it automatically updated the med list and did an infection log if it was an antibiotic.

I was a national accreditation and certification surveyor for more than 7 years and in that time had experienced many different software programs for home health and hospice. I believe that AXXESS is at the top of the list. However, being new some areas I need to learn and/or wished they were already available are: 1. templates entered, 2. goals to be set as individualized and measurable and NOT 'by end of episode'. 3.. Not having to enter signature. 4. Less entry screens for employee notifications. (HospiceMD's is more user friendly).
1. information is easily accessible and readily available i.e. not buried so far into the software that it is virtually impossible to find. 2. User friendly for staff - not too many clicks to get where need to go. 3. scheduling easy 4. QA excellent re: compliance etc.

I feel like we get a lot more than we pay for. They also have a mobile app, which is unique in this industry. Our former software does not have that. They don't nickel and dime you for everything. They have extended customer support hours, which we appreciate.
I wish they had a hospice product. I have been told they are working on one. I am eager to see it.

As a HealthCare Consultant for several Home Health Agencies in Florida, I encounter Agencies with ineffective and antiquated software systems. The HHA that I visit seek a more user friendly and a product that would enhance the function of the HHA. I have used the Axxess Agencycore and must say it has features that were very compelling. I love the ability to use multiple-screens at one time, thus being able to focus on the project that one was working on. It also identifies entry mistakes so one can correct before processing. I feel it is a great product that would definitely benefit Home Health Agencies. Finally, something positive get through for Home Health Agencies!

The software does have functionality and interfaces nicely via your computer. I would more instructional videos on using an iPad and iPhone in greater depth.
The fact that you can do your notes on the computer is helpful.
Need Spell check grammar check interfacing better with iOS products. Medicare templates check off list so you don't miss anything. Make operation easier have example notes for mental health psychiatry which is an up-and-coming area in home healthcare.

I like that I can initiate my charting at my visit with the patient.
I wish there was more of a separation between Hospice and Home Health, as several things that are required for Home Health are not relevant to Hospice.

Brightree is very user-friendly for clinicians and they are great about trying to streamline the product to keep it up-to-date
Implementation took a while and training was extensive. It seems to be more geared to Home Health than Hospice.

This is the best home health software i have worked with!
Saves in the cloud no hitting save, or more importantly FORGETTING to hit save and losing your work! Great point and click options but always has an "other" spot available for a narrative if the options do not apply.
App shuts down suddenly (but re-logon to saved information), if you have more than 50 current patients you have to unpin some to look at new information

Just a great platform for home health and very user friendly.
I just love Brightree. As a user in our Home Health office, I find that the AFO side is so easy to use and when I call support I get exceptional assistance. The team at Brightree is always helpful and if they don't have solution right away, they take the time to get an answer and always follow up.
When updates are made to the AFO and I didn't see the front page updates, I wish it would make you take a tutorial to show you the updates before you can move forward. Sometimes I miss the front page updates and am surprised by new updated pages. BUT usually I get the hang of an update pretty quickly.

I am a Home Health RN that uses both sides of brightree office and ipad.
Scheduling is very easy on office side. Ipad is very easy to use for OASIS and note documentation. It has a lot of built in teaching and intervention things to tie to your note. On office side it has capability to copy a note before erroring it out which allows for corrections to be made without having to re enter all of the note. The communication notes are a great tool. The flow of the note is very good.
The ipad is set up to only see a 3 month on a calendar period (for example right now you can see December, January, February) which does not allow any addendums to notes before December if needed. Length of time support gets back to you on correcting a problem is slow however that seems to be improving lately. When you heal a wound if that note you healed it on is not closed before the next note that wound stays active and it causes problems in documentation. You have to sync a lot to schedule a visit and add a note.

Able to complete oasis charting in a proficient way. The program very user friendly.
The program that is set up for the home health assessment charting is dependable, accurate, and easily understood.
Some of the challenges are that charting is not able to flow over and be seen. Also, when writing a communication once the communication read it is unable to be seen again.

BRightree is the best company I have used in my home health experience, it is our third or fourth system
Allows sufficient charting, doesn’t require internet in the homes, Customer support is quick to responc
Sometimes the syncing processes can be lengthy, it appears that each time an update is completed something else then has to be fixed

I would have to say that having access to both home health and hospice service lines might be a plus for some agencies.

MatrixCare allows all of our home health care documentation from patient care to back office administration, managing employees and billing prep to take place in one system. The amount of time spent documenting has decreased, lower the stress and increasing work/home life balance for my clinicians.
Ease of navigation with documentation designed for point of service documentation . Customer service is responsive and knowledgable.
The cost is definately something to consider. With each new added feature there comes an associated cost. Training new staff or refreshing existing staff also has an associated cost. The jump in price from 99 patient - >100 patients was shocking.

I use Brightree every day in my job. I usually use AFO more than CPOC. I thought it was pretty easy to learn compared to hospital EMR systems, but I was new to the home health and hospice field when I transferred my position.
I like the iPad capability. We are getting ready to use iPads in our office and during the training I see many benefits to the program. I do like that it is web based so I can be at home and sign into Brightree and complete work. I like the updates and how Brightree continues to improve on their products. I do like the support we receive from tech side and clinical side. I believe the are sincere when trying to help me figure out issues.
Don't like that we cannot print from CPOC. I feel the reports could be more user friendly and they seem to be "down" when I need them the most. I feel we are being forced to change to iPads and CPOC is being fazed out. Did not like that I am charged a monthly fee for Brightree to interface with my hospice PBM company.
