What I like most about Alora Home Health is that it provides a centralized system for scheduling, clinical documentation, and compliance.

What I like least about Alora Home Health is that some tasks take extra clicks, and certain reports or customizations are a bit limited.

It has ease of tracking items such as signatures and staff credentials to stay up to date and compliant with CMS requirements.

Our company had no training with the implementation of the software, but we have been able to navigate most of it on our own and assist our staff with being proficient as well.

Our previous software, Cashe, stopped providing updates, prompting us to transition our clients to Alora. While we've encountered a few minor issues—mostly user errors—Alora's support has been exceptional.

Finally, the billing and A/R workflows can be somewhat complex, requiring extra attention to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

There is a solution  but again it is because of how we set up our billing codes  we would've had to set those up differently during implementation or redo them all now.

You can adjust paperwork and time easily.

Alora is our electronic medical records software for our home health care agency.

They have training videos which I use to orient staff initially to the software.

The learning curve for new users can be steep, especially for clinicians who are primarily focused on patient care.

I like the ability to look at a quick training video on my own.

Very rude and inconsistent with recommendations for resolutions.

What I find challenging about Alora is its cost structure, which is difficult for smaller home healthcare agencies or those operating on tighter budgets. While the software offers valuable features, the upfront licensing fees and ongoing subscription costs poses financial constraints for us as a start up company.

Scheduling features has increased productivity as well as being able to batch print/fax has made several department's jobs get done easier and quicker.

Occasional "glitch", for example with visit times not flowing from note to scheduler.

Some of the features of the software like carrying over the therapy notes from OASIS to POC doesn't work and PT visit notes  doesn't carryover to the next PT visit notes.

It is one of the best home health softwares to use.

I've used 4 different EMRs in my many Hospice jobs, and Hospice tools is by far the most user friendly, the easiest to navigate, the most intelligently built for the job I'm doing, and the least likely to force me to do double work or allow me to submit something incorrectly that requires later fixes.

One downside to Hospice Tools is that each document I print results in an additional sheet of paper being printed that is unnecessary as it only contains a footer, no data.  

To have the NOE's send and be accepted by Medicare instantly, Hospice tools gives me the assurance the timely filing rule is not an issue.
