Pros
I like that it is easy to use, the cost is good, the billing is great, and the ticket responses are timely.
It is very user friendly and the staff is great and always willing to help.
I am extremely comfortable with this operating system despite not having a great understanding of anything related to computers.
Cons
The only frustrations I have experienced are related to product development, such as document uploading failing because of a programming glitch.
I also dislike some of the formatting on different forms (ie: some boxes for narrative responses are too small to read the entire response).
Only con that comes to my mind, is sometime I forget my password.

Overall, Hospice tools is easy and convenient to use.

Pros

My most favorite feature about this software is how easy it is to use and does not require extensive training as it is "straight forward".

Cons

I feel that a feature allowing us NPs to copy problems/diagnoses table from previous chart with one click would be a fantastic addition allowing us to chart faster.

Pros

ease of use, ability to easily upload documents - scan, pictures etc.

Cons

calendar and scheduling. Would like hard stops for the cert period, would like to schedule recerts. would be efficient to have the eDoc needed to be completed for visit connected to the visit on calendar.

Thanks for the great review Tina! We've been upgrading the scheduler and if you look in the calendar under the schedule view, you should already see a number of new features, such as better frequency views, fq met or not by color code, and stackable quick scheduling. For now, you can put in the notes section under activity which docs but triggering docs from the calendar is a feature that's on it's way. Cert periods are shown in Intake screen, IDG, Cert Report, and auto flow into Cert forms. We are looking at tying that in closer with stops but want to balance that with the flexibility that's important to maintain in comfort care. We will let you know when that feature is updated. Thx!

Hospice Tools review

Have trouble completing "tickets" and the ticket numbers as emails and no calls or attempts from HT to resolve matters.

Pros

Ease of use. Like to 360 tool for reports

Cons

Not always accurate measures for discharged, deceased or other patient discharges if names are not removed from ongoing dates. Needs a FIX as it compiles inaccurate information on quarterly reports. Would like also more detail in specific items, not just check boxes.

I like it — it’s intuitive and allows you to focus in where you need to, and skim over what isn’t relevant.

Pros

I like the built in reference guides you can look at when you click the blue “i” buttons. The scale or tool being used will be explained, or past entries for the value you’re entering will be pulled up. I can see instantly what my patients weight or arm circumference measurements have been historically, and see trends at-a-glance. I also like that the software won’t let you close a note if a required is blank. It tells you exactly which field, on which page must be completed!

Cons

I wish the historical data feature was available on more fields, like falls, infections, or dates of Foley catheter insertions. I don’t think the Patient Goals section is very intuitive to use. We’ve had a lot of confusion with goals. I’d like to see units of measurement stated on the wound assessment document somewhere. Right now there’s no mention of whether we’re using inches or centimeters, and it won’t accept alphabetical characters in the measurements fields, so you can’t type it in yourself.

Hospice tools is super easy to use and has made my workflow extremely efficient and organized. It allows everyone within the company to collaborate with ease. I can look up patient information and see notes from staff members in their respective field with the click of a button on my phone.
