Friendly staff, easy and professional onboarding.
After having nightmares with Guesty and the very expensive Eviivo (Lodigfy doesn't even deserve my attention--sorry:(
So far nothing---I like it a lot. Easy to work with, friendly, and PHONE SUPPORT that actually helpful. Guesty's phone support (if you're to get it), is useless. Their agents are not trained well. They will simply create a ticket which you could have done from the email---It was very annoying.

I have been in the industry for a number of years, using a number of PMS systems. Hostaways system is the best I have used.
The software is extremely easy to use, with great functionality for: Hosts, service providers, and clients
The onboarding process could be a little smoother if the company implemented a local individual to teach the onboarding lessons. However, Hostaway's self-help guides and online chat are great.

I like how user friendly Hostaway it. I used Guesty before and Hostaway is easier to navigate.
Wish more of the features can be used on the mobile device app instead of just a desktop.

Too many issues to dive into. If you value accurate financials, Hostawya will not work. If you want a system that syncs up to Airbnb or VRBO correctly, Hostaway is not the answer and you will spend hours each week re-creating your listings as Hostaway will delete the info. Support doesn't exist. You cannot reach anyone and they only actually offer email support (within 48hrs)
We were sold on the idea they had all the same features + as Guesty as a lower cost. This was not the case.
Most of their features are a shell so they can say "we offer xyz" when selling you the product.

Customer Service - Farshad was great to work with during onboarding. He was able to answer our many questions and help us transition from Guesty to Hostaway. The rest of the support team was also helpful via email between our onboarding calls.
The app is inferior to Guesty. Limited options other than calendar and messaging. Anything to do with your listings just be done on their website.

Hostaway has everything I need: Direct booking platform, calendar syncronization, ability to integrate with other softwares, financial reporting, unlimited users, unified inbox.
Some of the financial functions are better suited for more advanced users. When messaging, you can only send messages as the listing owner, which is not desirable. Even basic platforms like Guesty have this feature.

Came over from Guesty where NOTHING was working. Hostaway actually syncs properly everywhere and it's entire platform is built out in such a way that allows me to run my business.
Needs ACH payments and maybe ability to sync with my bank account.

Great company and does an amazing job connecting hosts with their guest and with services they need to make sure everything is running smoothly.
Very simple and easy to use once it set up. Everything is interconnected so once you get going it is awesome to see everything work together.
It is easy to use once you get the hang of it but there is alot of features so it can take a minute to get use to. But like i said.. it is very easy after.

I came to Hostaway from Guesty due to their lack of support for their clients. Hostaway has been responsive and onboarding has been seamless. The website is easy to navigate and intuitive and intregration of my own website for booking was a breeze.
So far, the personal level of support with the onboarding has been excellent.
There have been no complaints so far. As long as there is readily available customer support when a problem arises, I will be happy.

Incredibly helpful, funny, nice, intuitive, and friendly mentor in this setup process I could’ve ever asked for!! I didn’t even dream that a person like this existed in my industry. I dreamed of having STRs & unfortunately, I have been struggling to streamline the backend processes of this business...
Haven't found anything yet. Maybe HTML abilities in the message templates & automation? Would be nice to have a preview of them before sending them out? But I am sure you all are working on this already!

Onboarding is definitely worth it (note you do pay for it). I plan to continue using Hostaway as I expand my business.
Huge list of integrations. As a PMS Hostaway does its best to simplify a very complicated and capable product into an easy to use platform.
Minor issues with the app not sending notifications. Pricing aimed at hosts with 3+ properties so not really worth it if you only have 1 or 2.

Hostaway is the best of the best, I've tried ALLLLLL the others, and hostaway nails it almost every time. If Guesty is too expensive - cause it is .... go with Hostaway. Save yourself the time and money of doing research and just sign up with hostaway
The channel manager is always dependable and the guest messaging is great. Plus the brand new re-vamped Booking Engine is SOOOOOOOOOOooooo much better than all the rest.
The Tasks section could use a lot of work, and I find myself double-checking the invoicing, because sometimes it takes a while to update or you have to update it manually.

I have to really admit that hosteway from the early beginning is the only one channel manager I use. I got two listings which are basically managed at all stages through hostaway. The constant development and new addons makes it better & better and its really worth to consider for "small" hosts like me.
Easy dashboard, multi new addons, useful, essentials
Not accurate "earnings section" lack of precise currency exchange and missing externals fee like cleanings

The integration to our website as well as the on boarding went very smooth.
The Mobile app is the feature that the manager of our properties was not very excited about. Basically the complaint was his hosts had to use a computer to do many of the tasks needed to manage their properties. Specifically automated message.

Truly makes a huge difference in managing multiple properties at once. Do not skimp and skip out on their onboarding option. Their team is top notch and always respond with a live person response not AI. Started with Guesty for Host as a trial option and ended up with 3 double bookings. Hostaway made sure there were no issues setting up the integrations for every platform. Co-hosting is so much easier with this set up!The easy ability to create your own website for your properties as so simple to set up and helps expand your business.Integration with Google Travel is also a huge addition to the platform.
App needs more tabs like the website. Limited information provided via the app.

Very happy. I usually deal with the same customer support representatives, so it is nice. Because they know you and your properties and can help you easily. [Sensitive Content ]is great and has helped me multiple times when I did not understand the software. One other thing I have seen is that Hostaway seems more down to earth and not arrogant. I have dealt with Guesty, and I can not say the same about their workers. At least the ones I dealt with.
How effectively it works Once you set the settings up the way you like it, it runs like a well oiled machine.
It takes a little while to get used to all the features. It can definitely get overwhelming for a bit because there are so many options for customization.

The task list is a nice feature but almost impossible for the cleaners to use in the field.
The set up of this platform is a complete nightmare! The customer service at the very beginning is decent but they are quick to drop you and go to the next customer before you are completely set up. You are left to wait for the integration and absolutely no customer service afterwards. We were not given the final steps of what we needed to do as far as getting rid of VRBO iCal and now I have to go...

Simple platform good functionality for a few properties at a time
Easy to view calendar can show you multiple properties at the same time and it is simple to see vacant days and availability for multiple properties at the same time
It does not show you the total number of days booked for a particular property for example, if you wanna know how many nights the properties been booked for the year for the month for the quarter you have to calculate that manually

I had the chance to work with [sensitive content hidden] for the on-boarding program He is super professionnal and super cool : 10/10 !!! The platform has everything you need, from multi-calendars to messages automations, etc : many many functionalities and granularity Also, the possibility to create in a few seconds a new direct website integrating all accodomation listing with a booking engine is AWESOME ! In just 4 sessions, I have now integrated all the communication and calendar of my different platforms (AIRBNB, BOOKING, VRBO) and this has clearly changed my life! :)

Happy. Just disappointed in the support center that uses email and not live chat or connection. It is very difficult to EMAIL complaints vs connect online and resolve quickly.

I ultimately chose host away because of their customer service. It is a bit expensive because I'm only running 1 property through it but I love knowing I can reach out to someone on the phone anytime I need help with something. That is invaluable to me.
The easy to use layout of the app and website
that there wasn't a more affordable price for someone using it for just 1 holiday rental.

Hostaway is extremely userfriendly and if I come across any roadblocks Customer service is 10/10. I just had this type of experience when it came to accounting questions I had with [sensitive content hidden] and he was extremely helpful and understood my needs!
The only thing I ask for is a feature to add for recurring expenses automatically once I input

The worse experience, don’t waste your money. Try Hostaway, is much much better.
I tried Guesty for Hosts with 2 accounts for almost 2 months. This software doesn’t work properly. The calendar goes blank, has a lot of problems and does not work properly. When you send them messages, they answer you after 5-6 hours. They don’t have a telephone for contact support. Don’t waste your money.
Everything, but the most is that they don’t have a contact support.
