I set up my different jobs (including homeschool time tracking as a separate "job" - it's really nice to be able to manage both personal and work stuff in the same place!) and clock in/clock out using the app. When I need to bill my contracting client, I generate a timesheet using the web interface and limit it to just the job for that particular client.

What I like most about Connecteam is how the sections are all set out and then how they connect with each other as a whole. As I worked with a cleaning company and team, we needed to create jobs, add new team members and book cleanings on a regular basis, which all flowed easy.

It was great that the team members could use the app to Check-in with their location (for their safety), complete Forms (plus add photos of work completed) and track their hours with the Timeclock (for keeping track of their weekly payments). If they struggled with something on the platform, we could assist them and sort it out while they continued with the work.

Rolling it out at this scale required significant administrative setup and coordination to ensure consistency between both locations. While the system is functional, managing multiple locations with a larger team highlighted some navigation and workflow inefficiencies that become more noticeable at scale.

it can not handle RDO and TIME in lieu accrual and really doesn't help for payroll aspects in fact it is quite primitive when it comes to Xero payroll integration and out of the 10 times i've tranported info to xero only twice it actully worked

We started using Connecteam as a way to schedule staff and track hours because it easily integrates with Google Calendar.

The ability to combine and make the job more efficient, that I can combine tasks rotas time off and holidays in one app is excellent

For example, you have a drop-down list on several forms, if an option needs to be added to the list, you have to update every single form rather than just the source.

Also when clocking back into a job from a break - the time starts from 0 rather than continuing on from where it left off - ( but do understand its a time flow thing),  that on the small business plan, when we have a team member leave we have to delete all info on them rather than archive - its a shame that a user cant just be archived - removing them as a user but still able to add on to your 10 user limit.

The mobile app is reliable and intuitive, and the ability to communicate with teams instantly has improved engagement and reduced miscommunication.

The inability to update some stuff through the app such as the directory without having to do so through the computer system to update the information so you can not update the information on the fly.

The phone app is slow for administrative functions and you must have access to a computer to better manage scheduling and other admin issues like timesheet editting.  

It allows employees to easily clock in and out, record their work hours, and track time spent on each job.

There are so many different options that we may not need - maybe give small businesses the option to turn off some features that are not needed (eg. tasks, forms, schedules) but have the option to turn them back on if needed later on.

While they say they are compatible with Quickbooks- that does not apply to QB desktop needs. While it has the ability to export in that format it does not call the data what it is on the location or user code.

It's super easy to add users and the weekly timesheet reports that make it much easier to process payroll because all the information is in one place and the knowledge base is great for company documents for all users to access.

Scheduling, communication, time tracking, and tasks are all centralized, which saves a significant amount of time and cuts down on confusion.
