PerformYard does a great job doing the review part without having to crash the entire system (a total loss); you can award badges or some sort of recognition, and there appears to be an online "Learning Library" of sorts.

Also, when there is a technical issue with the system, or the website is experiencing high usage by users, the training courses tend to simply stop mid-course (not continuing where you had stopped) and force you to start over from the very beginning of the entire course, wasting your time and being frustrating.

I really like flexibility, and as a human resources manager, its important to me because it allows me to manage multiple types of assessments within the platform, which saves a lot of time and also allows me to tailor feedback to the actual needs of the team.

Emails automatically go out to remind employees (or managers) of upcoming deadlines so there's no "chasing" down people to get them to complete something they should already know about.

Petty gripe - there are two acknowledgement steps in the approval process and they depend on where you are in the flow, managers consistently miss the second one, and thus I am left to deal with the issue.

I appreciate how the admin interface has been designed, though I understand that it may feel a bit uncomfortable to some users particularly when it comes to setting up review templates and changing questions mid cycle and when goal tracking and review could be streamlined to fewer clicks.

The administration aspect of performanceyard has been somewhat difficult to understand and building out the first few templates from the ground up takes way too long.

Right now I’m sitting at my messiest desk sipping on cold coffee trying to get this done as quickly as possible; however, their AI summary tool did not fail us when we ran our large-scale survey.

Being able to impersonate users is helpful when the employees can’t figure out how to use the social feed and I was pleasantly surprised that it did not crash this time.

Having also served as a senior NCO in the military and having to author performance reviews and manage others in performing annual reviews, I appreciate having one site to use and being able to quickly and easily look over different team members information.

The 360 degree review layout is really good and the customer support is responsive, almost too responsive - I didn’t think that was possible.

There isn't a grammar/spelling tool available for me to use while writing formal performance reviews.

They then informed us that we had a 3 year NON CANCELABLE contract and are trying to force us to pay thousands per year for 2 more years for a product we don't use or find value in.

I was surprised how well the AI tool helped with writing feedback, most of these tools sound like they were written by robots.

We wanted a performance management tool that helped remove the human error to the process, so we went another direction for that automation.

The feature that I like the most about Perform yard is the fact that I can give my input regarding my goal, accomplishments, and thing we need to work on as a property, and feel like I'm being heard.

However, I find the platform to be extremely slow and the mobile app to be very clunky.

I would have thought the 360 degree tool would totally be unworkable, however it has managed the comments surprisingly well.

Finding employees by name (or whatever criteria you wish) who didn't get reviewed is a complete nightmare.

Additionally, it replaced a paper based system for some of the teams.

I think the learning paths are fine or at least acceptable, however I wish there were a dark mode for my eyes.

It’s always 1-5 for everyone and this isn’t fair for a new person. How can a Junior get a 5? And I had to do manual entry for absence policies and that sucked, had to click a lot.

Initially, configuring the system to reflect complex processes may require more learning time, that´s all.

We are able to setup collaborative goal and objective for corporate and every employees is working to ensure the goal is achieve.

Manage worker performance rating and provide training for worker that is short in the performance appraisal report.

So far, what I dont like is the customization, because we need options and I see it as limited.

Occasional glitches in the system, could use more customization options for reports.

The mobile app is pretty bare bones, it really does very little.

For now, I dont like is the employee synchronization with HRIS systems.

It pulls over the employees name and email most of the time.

so I don’t have to have a thousand tabs open.

They have a 3 year non refundable contract which was not explained during the sales process and now I am being held hostage.

Those things may feel a bit cumbersome but I do not believe it significantly detracts from efficiency.

What I like most about PerformYard is how fast and easy a process it is for team reviews within the software.

Company depends on forcing contracts rather than providing value.

We tried to use it for a few months and my team didn't see the value in it and did not want to use it.
