Current RMS provides our company with a great asset management tool and the necessary systems to ensure that stock is managed well by our team and delivered properly to our clients.

My other frustration is the lack of custom reports, you can create custom fields and lists of values, however reporting on those is not possible, we had to hire an outside developer to implement a tool via the API in order to achieve the full functionality we needed for our business.

I’ve actually lost work because of it and can’t recommend this system for those who work off site as it simply doesn’t work.

They have been very slow to implement new major improvements to the system, especially given the extensive list of feature requests by the community.

I work on the run so have an iPad, phone and computer.  

The process for booking items out are treated the same as rental i.e. book out, check in, finalise check in.  

The inventory system is very helpful for our company, holds pricing, weights, replacement charges and sub hire stocks.

It’s designed by people who clearly know the industry and the pressures on the people using their software.

However I have not been able to recommend Current RMS recently as I feel like the development has come to a complete halt.

In general, the software is light-years ahead of the software and invoicing systems we have used previously, and I have found the Goodshuffle team to be very responsive and open to feedback. When we have a request for a capability, they respond with interest, curiosity on the request, and a willingness to discuss and hopefully address further.

The biggest issue is a pattern of redesigning features that were already working while core functionality remains underdeveloped.

For example, moving the navigation to the left side of the screen reduced valuable screen real estate.

I think there are aspects of Goodshuffle Pro that require further software development and/or further capability development by the platform.

Coming from several other rental software plugins that we tried that made doing business so stressful, Goodshuffle not only saved my sanity with their amazing customer support level but their website integration was completely easy to set up by myself.

I love that Goodshuffle Pro feels like it’s grown alongside us. As we’ve requested additional features, the Goodshuffle team has actively listened and implemented many of them over time, making the software even more valuable to us.

We want to stay. But the platform needs to focus on advancing functionality rather than redesigning what already works.

The QuickBooks integration is incredible. If you have QuickBooks Online, it should be required that you use it.
