Updates can take a good amount of time as well as when Hotfixes are applied, a lot of the time they break other parts of the system (this has to do with some of our customs as well as options).

Difficult if not impossible to find internal resources with Pervasive Skills unlike MSSQL.c: Very limited to Non-Existent 3rd Party Apps2: Poorly Designed Tablesa: There are Master Tables that contain multiple rows of Data for a single Header Record where the data definition in the same column of data differs between rows.

Limited integrations: Global Shop Solutions may not integrate well with other software or platforms, which can be problematic for businesses that rely on multiple tools.

A better design would be to have a single table with a column to identify its source.c: Data Base Column Names are inconsistent.  

The steep learning curve and poor user interface can make it difficult to use efficiently, and the software can be expensive for small and medium-sized businesses.

b: There is no single General Ledger table, rather there are separate GL tables for each module.  

Overall, GSS has been very user friendly and quite simple to master.

We have used there product since 1997.It takes the product from quoting to order entry , work order,scheduling, purchasing material, outside process,inspection, shipping and invoicing.

We are able to go through every step of the project with MIE Trak Pro - from Estimating to Invoicing and the data communicates seamlessly from Estimating to purchasing, from purchasing to receiving, from shipping to invoicing, and etc.  

MIE Trak allows us the ability to give real-time tracking info to our customers about the status of their order.

MIE Trak enables exceptional real-time KPI tracking so I can see the data almost any way I can imagine!

We can see how many parts have been completed, or what manufacturing stage they are currently at and provide that information quickly over the phone or email without leaving the office.

This in turn allows us to spend more time concentrating on increasing business instead of  trying to constantly keep it organized and guessing where we are with production and materials.  

One of our favorite functions is the ability to create custom reports for any module.

The ability to develop critical queries and dashboards to run the business make this product my go to for ERP!

Wonderful ability to track an order from PO to Receiving all the way down to payment of invoice.  

We can still email our customer's invoice within the system, but it would be nice for Mie Trak to have a system that could do that.

It also fit in well with how we were currently running our business so the learning curve was not large. but it has helped us speed up in the bottlenecked areas we struggled.

I must note in our implementation the pool of users are not highly technical on computers and they still acquired, in time, the procedures to work with the system.

Ultimately, this fuels continual improvement within the organization with new ways to better capture and maintain production data.

good good tool for creating work orders and track jobs in the shop.

The system is great for generating custom OOR's, RMA's, Certs, etc.

The system can be overwhelming for a new employee/starter as it has many features with difference functions and levels.

Very expansive platform that has more features than we currently need but the fact that we get everything out of the box was a big plus for us.

Journal entries and downloading results to be able to manage numbers in excel!   

Enable you to drill down to difference level of BOM -anyone who is a Cost Accountant would love this feature.

The software receives constant updates and improvements and you can always ticket the support team for help.

Overall Mie Trak Pro has helped our manufacturing business become more transparent with day to day transactions.  

I struggled with the quoting module at first to allow the material cost to be nested across parts for real costing, however MIE is not a post processor and we use SigmaNest for nesting.

We really love the fact that we have ONE system now instead of duplicate entry into multiple softwares.

Other great features is the shipping/invoicing that can generate 100s of shipping labels in minutes.
