Lynx overview

What is Lynx?

Administrators can pre-configure mass notification alarms or add dynamic information at the time of the alarm notification. They can use Lynx to give people weather and emergency alerts by warning them of tornados, active shooters, earthquakes, volcanos, and more. The software sends NOAA RSS weather alert feeds to emergency managers, enabling them to activate emergency warning alarms and begin safety precaution procedures. It also uses the Lynx Messenger tool to send pop-ups to all connected computers and devices.

Lynx system alerts let admins show the type of emergency and send messages to individuals on the necessary procedures to follow for them to be safe. It allows administrators to convey targeted information to the general population and emergency responders on what each party should do. They can advise people to seek shelter or evacuate a location for personal protection due to weather, environmental, or unnatural emergencies.
