What is DAMAaaS?
DAMAaaS is a no-code platform that lets business teams build the applications
they need — approval workflows, business trackers, registers, client portals —
without writing a line of code, and without their data leaving France.
Published by Inagua, a French software company, DAMAaaS is designed for
organizations that have outgrown spreadsheets and shared drives but do not want
to wait months for their IT department, buy another rigid product, or hand
their business data to a non-European cloud provider.
How it works
Business users assemble applications visually: data tables, forms built from a
field library, Kanban, list, calendar and table views on the same data, a
workflow designer for approvals and notifications, and real-time dashboards
that remove the need for a separate reporting tool. Finished applications are
published to a tile-based home portal where each person sees only what they are
entitled to open.
Governance is built in rather than bolted on. An access-rights matrix sets
permissions by role, by table and by field, so the IT department keeps control
of data, rights and lifecycle while business teams gain real autonomy. That is
what turns shadow IT and shadow AI into a governed citizen development
practice.
