Ease of use, good program too!

Pros

I honestly found LucidChart super easy to use and understand. the UI allows the objects you put on your screen super easy to connect.

Cons

Hmm, although there is great functions with this tool, I wonder how LucidChart would compete with companies like Draw.io because it integrates with GDrive very easily

I have stuck with Lucidchart for a while.

2018-12-18

Pros

I like that I am able to import elements from other applications such as draw.io and Microsoft Visio into Lucidchart.I can also connect Lucidchart with my Google Drive account ,thereby letting me backup important diagrams created with Lucidchart into the cloud ,where I will be able to access them in the future or share it with my colleagues .

Cons

I am quite old school, therefore still a fan of native application on my Windows pc.

When you say "lucid," you've said it all

It's been a joy creating multiple workflow and process improvements via LucidChart. Draw.IO, and other competition, simply cannot beat the interface and grace of the UI.

the creation of flow diagrams and uml mainly that can be shared to work as a team, I can also use them from google docs without problems and store in my google drive account, I can also use the images saved onedrive in my diagrams.

Pros

It allows to import diagrams made in microsoft visio, omnigraffle, gliffy and draw.io you can also import figures from visio or in svg format to the library.

Cons

allows only 60 objects per document in the free accounts. the revision history is only available as a premium function, which forces me to use the google revision history docs when I want to work collaboratively.

A great tool for diagrams

2018-05-29

Pros

Draw.io has been extremely valuable in helping me create easy-to-read diagrams for various applications. Most of the diagrams I've made have been network related, and it does a great job at providing all the necessary shapes and tools to beautifully outline our network infrastructure. It's also free, that's probably one of the greatest parts.

Cons

Not quite as feature-rich as some of the paid tools like Lucidchart or Visio, but for what you pay (nothing), it's magnificent.

2019-03-28

We use to have draw.io earlier but it was not having support of collaborative designing, so we switched to lucidchart.

Pros

- Online web app makes it more accessible - Designing Process is quite easy to understand - Save JSON/XML file to the system so as to continue where you left off

Cons

- GUI, UI/UX is not user friendly - Need more smooth experience

Pretty Good Diagramming Tool

2019-03-20

I was comparing different tools, e.g. draw.io, lucidchart, visio online and draw.io won the competition.

Pros

* Can open and save to Google Drive, GitHub, Trello, Dropbox, OneDrive. * Can work as a Confluence plugin. * It feels as a native add-on, no additional logins required * The interface and tools are intuitive; easy to create diagrams using built-in templates * It has a mass conversion tool from Gliffy. * GitHub Support

Cons

* No SAML/SSO * Sometimes conversion tool doesn't work correctly (they offer to fix that manually through support though)
