Pros

It is an impressive open source software, really reliable. I love its PostGIS spatial module, which enables powerful geospatial functions.
After switching over from Access, it has been nice to be able to have a more robust experience.
It's a great relational database management system. It's open-source, free, reliable and secure.

Pros

The database management tool is one of its kind, with its community version it supports almost 99% of SQL and NoSQL databases, the ease of use and maintenance is remarkable.
My overall experience with DBeaver has been pretty good. Very satisfied with the product and its features.
The auto-completion is just fantastic as it always suggests the best and the most relevant results.

Cons

Probably because of bad stats but from time to time the problem happens again.
Lot of features are missing from it as compared to the other products in the market.
I had skipped the few initial classes and missed the part where the professor taught how to use the app.

Cons

After being inactive for a long time you need to establish connection with the database again which can be a bit annoying sometimes.
A minor annoyance as these are unusual use cases for me.
They should add a feature which shows what row exactly contains an error.

PostgreSQL

The most advanced open-source database management system

Reviewed 5 years ago

We use PostgreSQL in most of our projects as a primary backend and our experience has been positive.

Pros

PostgreSQL is one of the most feature-rich, powerful and advanced open-source database management systems. Though this power comes at a cost. Using PostgreSQL in the best possible way takes some time. PostgreSQL is a real beast and it takes time before one becomes fully familiar with it.

Cons

Even with all the power that PostgreSQL gives, there are certain things that are missing. For example, until the latest versions there was no support for partitioning. Lack of a great graphic admin tool is a con in my opinion. Yes, it's possible to use (and we do) third party tools like DBeaver but a great database system must simply have its own admin GUI.

Unübersichtliche open source Datenbanksoftware

Reviewed a year ago

Daten in Postgresql Tabellen anschauen und bearbeiten. Daten rudimentär filtern. Daten exportieren als CSV.

Pros

Great Multiplatform Database Tool

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

Great database tool that lets you connect and manage PostgreSQL databases and many others (MySql, Oracle, SqlServer etc. ). I've tested a lot of PostgreSQL tools and this is the most reliable and most fully featured one I've tried. Supports transactions, parameters for queries, exports, imports and more.

Cons

Some updates have been buggy, but they fix it quickly. I usually wait 10 days now before installing an update.

Best tool for Postgresql

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

Easily connect to postgresql servers and query is faster. It has good number of options to connect and edit the query,

Cons

There is alot of options in the settings but they are too complex to understand, hence it's not much useful as they are hidden in the plain sight for the new users

Free and extensive Database tool

Reviewed 3 years ago

After I personalized and customized the environment and preferences it was very easy to work with this database administration tool. It also helps you when you encounter errors in your coding, it gives you very useful hints.

Pros

I like this SQL software application because is free and very extensive. It's easy to use once you set the environment down and all customize the way you want to work. I also like that it supports a variety of databases especially PostgreSQL

Cons

The only thing I think of it's the actual setting up, it could be a hassle. Also, if you are working with multiple databases, you have to set as default the one you want to work on every time you close and open DBeaver
