SQL Diagnostic Manager overview
What is SQL Diagnostic Manager?
SQL Diagnostic Manager is a cloud-based database monitoring solution that allows businesses to maximize the availability and performance of SQL server databases with detailed monitoring, smart alerts and insights and diagnostics. With SQL Diagnostic Manager, database administrators (DBAs) are able to view the real-time status of a SQL environment and quickly pinpoint and resolve potential issues. Key features include continuous monitoring, query capture, predictive alerts, expert recommendations and centralized dashboards.
For issue tracking, SQL Diagnostic Manager is able to quickly spot issues across multiple SQL server instances using metric analysis. With flexible monitoring, DBAs can view all SQL environments and instances through one single centralized dashboard and drill down into specific metrics to find the root cause of issues. DBAs can also monitor tempdb instances to identify and resolve contentions and performance issues as well as set-up custom counters for system reporting and monitoring.
SQL Diagnostic Manager notifies DBAs of any database issues before they occur with automatic email notifications, Window Event log alerts, and PowerShell script execution. With over 100 pre-defined alerts, DBAs can customize any alert to break down and filter issues by severity, metric, or server. For everyday issues and problems, SQL Diagnostic Manager will offer pre-formatted expert recommendations to prevent potential issues and improve database performance.
