We love it! It has made e-filing a breeze! Also, it is great that we each have our own login information so that we can check the status of our own filings, not having to look through everyone in the office's.
We don't have to leave the office to file documents, we don't have to waste money on postage to mail filing to the Courts. I love how user friendly the system is. Also, they don't charge you PER filing, only on filings that cost money do they add their fees in.
Cook County has made their filing through Odyssey now as well and it is different than all the other counties in Illinois. I just hope I don't have to do it often.

The idea of having a fully integrated, streamlined system that does calendaring, case management, jail manager, atty manager, financials all in 1 system. Your overhead for a state/county is dramatically reduced if you take all features.
The lack of documentation, the lack of true SME's, and the turnover with the vendor. Once its is up and going it has little to no issues except for issues that the courts have could amplify or be more problematic when you bring on the client. It will show you your issues with Workstation, network, IPS, IDS, and firewall misconfigurations.

Odyssey is an enormous upgrade from some of the older systems, but it still has some improvements that could be made.
Odyssey has enabled us to move to a completely electronic filing system. It has been an easy-to-understand process for staff, and the layout is very user-friendly for new users.
Sometimes there are slight glitches, but I haven't personally ran into any real challenges with it.

Overall, I like the convenience but the glitches, delays, inconsistent proof of filing or acceptance, and the customer service reps' lack of knowledge is ridiculous, frustrating and time consuming.
The convenience, minimal expense, and ability to file documents remotely.
Depending on the county, our office uses two (2) separate e-filing system. This system, however, has too many glitches and too many redundant features/prompts. While it appears to be rather simple to use, often times there are delays, filings do not always go through, and proof of filing or acceptance is not guaranteed. This is particularly problematic if you file after hours or the weekends. You would have to wait until the courts open to get assistance, which most times you are referred back to Tyler Technologies. Although friendly, the customer service reps or techs are not helpful. To say the least, this is beyond frustrating.
