Pros
I like that I can easily create, save and share documents using this app. Its also available for Android which is a great benefit.
The best bang for the buck easy to use and easier to set up user friendliness at its absolute finest.
The software is great for adaptation in many different facilities and functions across many platforms. It is easy to use and great for and type of documentation.
Cons
I hate that I can’t input texts or photoshop picturess and I hate how it’s only for Windows not apple.
Interface can be confusing and hard to figure out where to go.
I dislike that Microsoft Word formatting sometimes gets messy and difficult.

A proven, reliable programme with excellent functionality

Reviewed 2 years ago

I've used Microsoft Word in countless roles for over two decades and have always been pleased with the experience it provides. Intuitive for beginners but with a bit of extra delving and study, the programme offers lots of useful advanced functions.

Pros

Microsoft Word is very intuitive to use and if you should struggle with any aspect of it use, the help function is comprehensive and easy to use. The huge range of templates available and the thorough spelling/grammar checks mean that anyone can produce professional looking documents. Mail merge is very easy to use and very useful for large scale communications. Frequent updates mean that functions and user experience are continually improving.

Cons

Microsoft office is quite expensive, yet you do get good value for money. The interface is a bit dated - but if it ain't broke, why fix it?

One of the most versatile software to create documents

Reviewed 4 months ago
Pros

The first thing that captured my attention and kept me using it, is the general design that makes it so easy to use and understand how is compartmentalized. The second thing that I appreciate about Microsoft Office is the fact that has a plethora of tools so you can create and edit documents as freely as you need. Nonetheless, I really like that the entire Microsoft Office is constantly updating, listening to the customers' needs, and "adjusting" to them.

Cons

The only downside of Microsoft Word (all free versions) is the limited access you have while creating or working on a document while offline. Of course, they offer full offline access for Business and Premium subscriptions. It would be helpful if, for the free versions, the user could have more tools available if not all.

Great assets but finicky

Reviewed 5 years ago
Pros

Word outshines Google Docs or other alternatives in many ways. My favorites include being able to jointly review a document using Track Changes and comments, being able to save and re-use phrases/paragraphs in Quick Parts, being able to copy and paste font style using Format Painter, using the Find and Replace tool to quickly update multiple spots throughout a document, and being able to paste an excel list into Word to replace paragraph marks with a comma to create a comma separated list (or vice versa by pasting a blob of email addresses from Outlook into Word and replacing semi-colons with paragraph markers so I can plop it into Excel and have a clean, list that I can now sort and filter.

Cons

While I appreciate the great perks of Word, some of its features can be quite frustrating and finicky. When trying to train other users on Word it's hard to explain "sometimes it does this, but sometimes it doesn't"; I almost have to train with contingency plans. For example, when Word decides you want an extra blank page at the end of your document and despite removing paragraph marks and pressing...

Ideal for Text Editing and Document Creation

Reviewed a month ago

While it's not the prettiest word processor, it's my "ol' faithful" with text editing and document creation.

Pros

The text editing is my favorite feature with Word. I've written books using Word, which is much better than Pages for that type of thing. I make most of my text-based documents from Word.

Cons

The templates for creative projects are pretty limited--Pages and Canva are better there.

Everyone's go to word processor

Reviewed a month ago
Pros

The default word processor program continues to be a solid choice. Writing and formating documents is easy and intuitive.

Cons

Exporting text from Word into other programs continues to be a hassle, as Word's formatting doesn't meld well with other programs
