great experience
Great integrations with all social media platforms and very easy to use.
Quite expensive as compared to buffer & other competitors.

It’s really too expensive and we are switching to buffer.
The integrations were nice and the user interface is fairly easy to use. Scheduling was simple to figure out how to use an implement.
This product is way too expensive, especially for nonprofit organization. You can find similar functionality with products that cost way less money.

Their tutorials and lessons are actually really helpful. A good intro to social analytics as well.
Interface isn't as streamlined as Buffer—a bit too much going on.

It was pretty simple to use, and easy to set up accounts.
Personally, I prefer other platforms like Buffer for social media scheduling.

It feels easy to integrate your favorite social media platforms.
The scheduling doesn’t outshine more reasonable competitors like Buffer and Meet Edgar.

Since most social media scheduling tools offer either a free trial or a free plan I would encourage you to sign up and click around in a couple to see which one works best for you before making a decision.
Hootsuite has a lot of different features depending on what you want to use it for. I have mostly used it for scheduling social media posts and tracking streams on social media. The ability to track hashtags or topics through Hootsuite is fun and also very useful and one of the features I appreciate when I switch back to Hootsuite from Buffer, since I tend to go back and forth between the two. Like...
Personally I think the interface of Hootsuite is very easy to use, however it is not quite as streamlined and intuitive as Buffer. Moving from Buffer to Hootsuite the latter looks a little visually crowded, however I think that is mostly because of the additional features within Hootsuite. As a pure scheduling tool Buffer might be more user friendly.

Hootsuite is fine, it does the trick. It's a solid option but I just prefer Buffer.
It lets me accomplish everything I need -- which is to say that it connects to my social accounts and lets me schedule posts to them. I also liked that I could see what was going out on all channels in one view.
This is so subjective, but I just didn't like the UI of the program and felt like it didn't give me as robust analytics as Buffer did. I eventually switched from Hootsuite to Buffer.

Hootsuite did the job well, but it was ultimately outclassed by Buffer in my experience.
Hootsuite lets you track and schedule posts across a variety of social media accounts, although it's mainly used for Facebook. It's indispensable to have a tool like this if you manage a lot of accounts, and it has a free plan.
I ended up switching to Buffer because you couldn't post pictures and video natively through Twitter, instead it posted as "owl.ly" links

Very disappointed. Paid for a year membership and still left and switched to Buffer.
They advertise to have all the features I would need. Bulk uploading is my favorite feature that I don't think a lot of people realize they have.
It did not work well for me at all. Super laggy and slow and mobile application sucks. Did not meet any of my expectations

Like Buffer or Sprout Social, it has plenty of excellent features to schedule social posts.
No real disadvantages here. If I had to pick, I'd say I like the Buffer or Sprout Social interface a little better.

I use Hootsuite in a free plan from many years. It is very easy to use and it helps me to publish in a easy way, many post on my different social network
i think the free plan is a bit too much restrictive compare to buffer

It's a great option for small teams or entrepreneurs, but larger teams and enterprise may want a different alternative.
You can schedule social media posts in bulk, monitor different feeds simultaneously, and get a birds-eye view of your accounts at a glance.
Having used Buffer also, Hootsuite is not as advanced or user-friendly in my opinion.

Hootsuite is pretty good for getting your social media management done easily. We usually run about 2 to 3 accounts and it handled them decent.

Hootsuite allowed us to save some time posting to social media but Buffer offers a better free program.
Hootsuite is one of the big players in organic social media. They have all the needed integrations and relatively cheap if you are just starting out.
Organic social media is almost dead and growing your following has become insanely tough. So I wouldn't spend an insane amount of time worrying about this posting.

Really useful for social media management. More options than just scheduling.
Lots of different features. Even the free version works well. Like that you can add an Excel document of posts.
I wish you could put in a posting schedule like Buffer or edit posts per platform. Scheduling can take long.

Social scheduling is a super crowded space, and Hootsuite used to be a strong contender. It's still a very powerful suite, but the UI was just too hard on my eyes in the end. One of the more favourable features that they have is the content curation side. Really helpful stuff in there, especially when you set it up correctly. They have lots of helpful content as well to help train the newbie Social Media Manager, and the scheduling tools work great.
The overly crowded and dated looking UI, especially when stacked up against options like Buffer can be a bit of a downfall.

It was great for what it offers, personally I feel like this kind of software is dated anyways with organic posts continuously losing effectiveness but it does what you need it to.
It's not as user friendly in my opinion as some of it's competitors like buffer which is more robust but also more expensive.

It's my mainstay posting app, and I've tried a number of others, including Buffer, SocialBee, Coschedule. For the price, I keep coming back to Hootsuite.
I've been using Hootsuite for at least 5 years, and it remains overall my go-to social posting platform. While it is not the most intuitive UI, it works well as an editorial calendar/scheduler and is perfect for the kind of posting I do to FB, LI and G+
Setting up social accounts has always been confusing to me, and I still don't quite know if my accounts are considered my "personal" accounts, or "team" accounts in Hootsuite. This is an understandable feature for teams, but it seems to make it more difficult for me working solo.

Overall it's a great platform, makes managing multiple social channels a breeze, and in my experience is more full-featured than lower-cost alternatives like Buffer.
I like how Hootsuite makes it really easy to see all of your social media channels in one place. No more needing to switch between social media tabs to manage multiple profiles. Being able to pre-schedule posts is awesome!
While Hootsuite is probably as good as a solution like this could be, every now and then there are cases where you still need to go into your social profiles to do something. It's not an entire replacement for logging into LinkedIn, Facebook, etc., but it does reduce the number of times that you'll need to login in any case.

Hootsuite is where i got to see all of my information in one place.
Hootsuite has so many great features all in one place. Not only can you see all your accounts in one place, but you can also see all of your analytics in one place.
When comparing the software to something like Buffer, there is a big difference in price. However, you do get many more features with Hootsuite.

I wish you could schedule to Instagram from the desktop app, but I realize that's a shortcoming with Instagram itself and not Hootsuite.
Very robust features--ability to search for mentions of your company or any topic to get involved with people and meet new followers, ability to see comments on facebook ads and respond in the app, the ability to respond to anything sent your way on your social media all in one place, bulk scheduling with spreadsheets, ability to manage many platforms at once, and more. I love Hootsuite.
The main con is that I wish Hootsuite had scheduling features like Buffer. Buffer allows you to setup a schedule rather than having to post everything manually, and it's super easy to recycle posts. For example, Buffer will tell you when the best posting times are either set up a posting schedule for you based on your desired frequency, or allow you to set one up (like post on facebook at 3PM every Tuesday and 10am every Friday etc.). Also, buffer's chrome extension will pull images in addition to the URL, and I wish Hootsuite did the same.

Makes it easy to post on Google+ and links to pages easily I loved its stats to see how effective updates were
The price was high for how many updates you get when you pay, other sites charge less. It had less options for selective time when compared to Buffer

Buffer also has the 3 free option. I liked that and used it in my free trial.
I found Buffer easier to use than Hootsuite. I could easily post videos to the sites and I had a harder time doing that on Hootsuite. The platform seemed user friendly and less confusing than Hootsuite.
It was a little difficult to cut and past articles into my sites. I ended up using URLs which did not look as nice.

Buffer is cool but I think hootsuite is better and easier to use.
Buffer is easy to connect to different social media platforms and the feed is organized when you have multiple accounts.
However, I had trouble with buffer either connecting my Instagram or facebook, or accounts logging out. On my phone buffer was tough to set up posts and a struggle.

I was eager to have this work for several functions that hootsuite doesn't offer - ability to edit posts before scheduling and ability to reschedule a post for future use easily. Also the RSS feeds which hootsuite made a paid feature.
Was too good to be true. Each time I logged into buffer, all my social accounts had disconnected and I had to reconnect each of them. When your clients has 3+ accounts you're managing, it makes it very frustrating to have to go through this process over and over again each day.
I'm sorry for the terrible experience, Kellie. That is definitely not ideal. Would you be up for emailing us at hello@buffer.com about this issue? Our Customer Advocates would love to help. Thank you.

It is very intuitive and easy to use, has a very simple and convenient interface that can be quickly understood by any user, the statistics and analytics it offers have a very illustrative visual component, which is very friendly.
